Rooms on the street side are noisy, particularly on Mondays which are trash days. The trucks woke us up at six in the morning. It might have been nice to get a warning from the front desk crew.

The location was great, within a short walk of downtown. Parking was close and free on the weekends.

Breakfast was not in my deal and paying separately I felt it was a little bit expensive at 18 euros. I did have breakfast on my first morning but decided not to have it on the following days.

Shortly after I arrived I accidentally broke a drinking glass in my room. The receptionist was very helpful and personally vacuumed the floor to ensure that all the pieces had been removed.

Breakfast was rather expensive, so we didn't take it - some of the restaurants nearby are explicitly breakfast places are probably a better option for casual travellers. There's also only typically one staffer on reception at any given time, and a lot of traffic going through, which can lead to fairly long waits for something as innocuous as checking out.

Situated about a 15 minute walk from the center of Luxembourg, and right on the corner from an enormous parking lot with public transportation links all over the city (and country), Hotel Victor Hugo is a very good stay in the Capitol of the Grand Duchy, and I would definitely consider staying again. The parking lot is not free during the day - but is in evenings after 18:00 and on weekends. Remember to check for the Schoberfeuer, an annual festival in August in Luxembourg where the lot is converted into a fun fair (and obviously no parking is allowed). This aside, it's also a 10 min tram ride to the main station, meaning it's good for those there without a car, also. The rooms are big and clean, including the bathrooms and come with full shutters which effectively block the noise of the streets before. There are supermarkets, restaurants (including a famous local one) and other things all within walking distance. We didn't have time to check out the other facilities of the hotel but there are plenty.

Shower was very slippery. Breakfast is very sparse and expensive. Pillows are small and the beds not very comfortable. Bad accessibility.

Location is great, right next to the Theater tram. Rooms are spacious and clean.

The bed is small, only one pillow, not comfortable at all and no air-con ( there was only a weird fan in the wall )

Room was small and EXTREMELY hot when we arrived due to air conditioning/electricity not working without the room keycard. The airconditioning wasn't able to cool the room but we managed by opening the window. Breakfast coffee was bad machine coffee.

Very clean looking hotel. Staff was friendly. Vanity kit was nice (included needle and string which seems to be uncommon these days). Breakfast was great.

It’s my third stay here. It could me more often as I book it every time I have a theater night with my husband ( we live in Metz but we appreciate more the cultural offer of Luxembourg city). I book it every time I can have a room at 180 euros a night. It’s a bit pricy ( and there is no breakfast included) but it’s our no. 1 option when the price allows it ! The receptionist is a darling . My husband was late so she helped me with a corset top! I recommend it !

All rooms of a whole floor are cleaned at the same time. All doors are open even though all personal belongings are still in the room. The cleaning time is between 11:00 am and 03:00 pm so you do not have access to your room each day during that time. The furniture of the room was very old and some things were broken. The AC had been fixed with tape on the ceiling which is located right above your head while sleeping.

The room was very clean and the location is very good positioned. Tram and Bus stops are very close. The city centre is in reachable distance by food.

Good location, well connected with bus and trams to the airport and to the centre (public transport is free as well). The centre can be reached walking as well and it's a very nice walk. The room was big, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was ok too, the bed was comfortable. I haven't tried the breakfast. There are a few restaurants and cafe' nearby, I liked the Japanese restaurant just on the opposite side of the road. I'd say that it's a good hotel, would recommend.
