The staff here are absolutely fantastic. They go above and beyond for their guests to make them feel welcome. The garden area is absolutely beautiful. In the evening you can watch the sun go down and see the bats flying. Then a little later watch the fire flies above the pond. The room was very clean and excellent value for money. You can also do the Yala safari through these guys. Make sure to use the mosquito net, as everywhere in Sri Lanka!

It must have been the weather, but it was really humid and therefore really humid in the room. Im certain it will be better if it isnt 35 degrees.

The shower wasn't hot - but we didn't mind as after a hot tiring day it was refreshing to cool off with, just worth noting for future guests.

The family that runs this place are so welcoming and so kind. They went out of their way to make us feel at home. They taught us so much about the culture and showed us around their beautiful garden that backs onto rice fields with the most amazing views and stunning sunset. At night you are joined by fireflies, whilst during the day you can relax by the stream and spot turtles!! After mentioning in conversation that we were interested in doing a cooking class while in Sri Lanka they invited us into their home to do one!! It was the most wholesome day we've had in Sri Lanka spending it with the family here. They also helped us book our safari which was amazing We saw every animal so we are still happy about that!! They also helped us get to the bus stop so we could get to Ella. Without this help we never would've got on the correct bus so thank you so much again. Such a lovely stay, we will be back. Thanks for having us!!!!

The courtyard and garden were a marvel in and of themselves. We sat out by the rice fields and watched firefies illuminate the trees above us. It was also very clean and very well maintained.

We had such a great night and wish we could stayed for longer. The guest family was super friendly and took us on a family trip to a local temple in the evening. The family helped us to organize the safari the next morning and that was one of the best experiences we had! We can recommend a stay at the guest house for everyone!!

Amazing. Rice fields on the edge of the property are magical and the gardens which were all hand built are charming. The staff were so accommodating and felt like friends, food was great (we had dinner twice) and they arranged the safari which turned out to be amazing - saw 2 leopards and the sloth bear amongst other animals. Not only for the cheap price but for the great experience, please stay here!!!

Everything was perfect

Beautiful accomodation located in Tissa close to Yala National Park. Viveka was very helpful providing information on how to arrive to the property from my previous destination, and the family's hospitality was amazing! I was met with some tea many times throughout the day and they helped me organise a safari. The outdoor sitting areas were tranquil and an amazing place to watch the sunset overlooking the rice fields. Perfect place to unwind 😊

The guesthouse went out there way to make my stay comfortable and even gave me a cup of tea at 4.30am before my morning safari.

The WiFi was bad and the power kept cutting out, we had to go out numerous times a day to ask them to turn it back on. They come into our room when we were out and turned off the toilet flush and tap, I think this was to save energy but was a slightly odd concept. On our last day, one of the owners (a lady) was screaming and shouting at one of the other owners (a man) so loud for 30mins it was quite disturbing as we were wanting to check out but had to wait for them to finish. When the guy eventually comes out, he looks traumatised compared to how we met him on the first day. Very unprofessional of the lady to have done this whilst guests were staying !!!

Nice rooms and the garden area is beautiful. We were constantly brought hot tea during the day and evening which was a lovely touch.

Wow, such an amazing place. The guesthouse have the best location with the most beautiful view over the rice fields. It’s close to Yala and you can easily walk to the supermarket. The host is so nice and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. The room have everything you need and was really clean. They came with tea many times doing the day which we really enjoyed. Very nice location right next to the rice field. It is located a little bit outside of the city, but the city center is located in a walking distance (and there is actually nothing to see 🙂). Instead, you can sit outside in the garden and watch birds in the rice fields. You can even order some meals, and we got many cups of tea during our stay 🙂

It is a modest but wonderful accommodation close to Yala National Park. The accommodation is run by a very nice family. Everyone is still smiling and offering sweet tea. Here you feel more like a welcome member of the family than just a guest. The room has everything you need. There is a comfortable bed a fan and a clean bathroom. There is a wonderful quiet sitting area outside with a view of the rice field. Here you can watch the birds feeding. What more could a traveler ask for? At the end of my stay they went with me to the main street and made sure I got on the right bus. Thanks for that! It was great at your place! Thank you for your hospitality and for the perfect chat in the morning with the view from your garden! I really appreciate it. It was great! I wish you many happy guests and good luck with your plans to expand your business with more tables in your restaurant! I keep my fingers crossed for you! Great job!
