The owner and his wife are two amazing people. They were kind and helpful. The hotel is basic and clean. Breakfast was very good as well. I recommend you to book any activitiy through them as they have great prices.

The staff at Tobiko is great! Our rooms ac was broken, and within 10 minuites we got a new one. Comfortable bed and to big terraces for the guest to use. They also arranged dolphin safari for us and a driver to get us to Arugam Bay, all for very good value of money.

Difficult to find - but all solved!

Lovely hotel. Easy situation as very close to the beach. Some tuk tuk drivers found it hard to find, so we found it easier with a photo of the turn off the main road! Thoroughly recommend dinner at Island Flavors, which is a short tuk tuk ride away. Owner really helpful.

The room was too stuffed with 2 beds, made the big room feel very small. Bathroom needs upgrade.

The family who runs the business is extremely friendly and good hearted. They take care of stray dogs, they had a mum with 3 babies and we were told they will be sterilised and will send them to people who will keep them as pets and not let them be on the streets. Melted my heart 💜❤️

The couple who own the hotel are so lovely, and it was clear they sincerely cared about their patrons' comfort and safety. They were so accommodating and always willing to have a chat. Breakfast was included in our stay, and it was a delicious mixture of traditional Sri Lankan breakfast foods and western food. The beach is a very short walk from the hotel, and it is in a quiet area.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and a great value. The owners of the property were very kind and accommodating, going well out of their way to help us make the most of our trip to Trinco. Included breakfast was great and there is very convenient access to one of the best beaches I've visited in Sri Lanka. The hotel also contributes to beach cleaning efforts which must be noted!

There was no mosquito net but we didn't have any problems with mosquitos so maybe it's just not necessary in this area.

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Tobiko, which is located only a few meters from the Upuveli beach. The owners are very friendly and were more than willing to help us whenever we needed help. The breakfast was really good, always more than enough and had a good variety. We would definitely stay there again!

First of all, Mr Jacob and his wife were absolutely fantastic hosts. They were kind and courteous. Then there was this delicious breakfast made by their awesome chef (sorry I forgot his name). Everyone there was very kind and respectful. The location was very convenient and you can take a walk to the beach very easily.

I liked the environment. The hotel is run by a couple. They are so great and pleasant. A great service was provided by them. It was exceptional. They take care of strays as well which is so lovable to see. Loved our stay there. And plus the beach is just 100m away. Navigating around the town was easier as well. Such a beautiful place. Highly recommended.
