Wifi didn’t reach the room but not uncommon in Sri Lanka

One of the nicest hosts we’ve come across on our travels! We received a welcome drink on arrival and they provided drinks and snacks before our safari. The room was clean and spacious, exactly what you would expect for the price!

Stayed there a couple weeks back Positives - spotless amazing bedroom with all the facilities - amazing friendly host who gave us Cocunut water on arrival as promised in other reviews - GET THE FOOD THERE....it was a feast and was absolutely delicious great value sri lanken food. - great location near the fruit bat trees. - Definitely book the safari with these guys. Asanka was an amazing and caring guide who really seemed to have all the know of where everything was. We saw 28 elephants and two leopards and many more thanks to this guy. 10/10 for the day No negatives. Its not a social place really, but was perfect for us at the time. Just positives for these guys.

I really loved the location in nature, the house was full of plants which made me feel like in a fairytale. The owner and his brother are just the kindest people ever. They were so helpful and nice, they even picked me up and dropped me at the bus stop.

Wonderful hosts were so welcoming. They took care of everything for us. The rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed a beautiful welcome drink and offers of transportation to the local restaurants at no charge. Our hosts arranged a super safari experience for us; our guide was outstanding. On our return another beautiful juice was prepared for us and we could freshen up before being transported to our next destination .

Lovely stay, such a kind and helpful owner. Served us complimentary drinks on arrival and when we arrived back from the safari. He was so helpful with ongoing travel and brought me to the bus station. Room was spacious and clean, would highly recommend staying in this guesthouse.

Nothing negative to say

The air conditioning worked well plus a strong ceiling fan. The room was clean as well and the host provided an adapter in the room. He also welcomed us with two fresh coconut waters and on the morning of our safari at 5am he was kind enough to make us coffee. On our last day he gave us fresh watermelon slices before checking out. We were also picked up and dropped off from the bus station by the host. Very helpful and kind. Would recommend

The near-by restaurants aren’t the best, no fault of the owners but I think that’s just Tissa, so worth it tho for safari, and location makes up for is with bar tree and lake! Also if you want their food tell them beforehand besucase we couldn’t get any with them. Good for thought :)

This place is incredible! Whilst we were on the bus they tracked us to pick us up at the right place, even after we missed the stop. We also had an incident of a broke phone, of which they were only too happy to drive us into town to an amazing phone shop, where he offered his phone number as a reference. From the moment we arrived we had cold coconuts which were lovely. The room is so comfy and AC is increíble. When we had issues with the water, the guy fixed it within no time. I cannot get over the hospitality we were shown here! He was our personal driver for no charge! He took us around a lake tour to see birds (which he is very talented at) and crocodiles, for no charge also, alongside the amazing bat tree, which is 5 minute away and so wonderful. They orngiased the morning safari, with a fantastic driver, who is so skilled at spotting, he didn’t get dragged into the queuing and pushing that you sometimes hear about at safaris. The place is so lovely and cute, and the lights make it so warm and comfy! He dropped us at the bus station when we left, and made sure we got the right one. Picked us up and dropped us for every dinner and everything we needed! I highlight recommend this stay for anyone looking for an easy Yala safari experience!

The host was incredible and truly went above and beyond, he organised everything for us for the safari tour and even drove us to the bus stop. We had a free coconut on check in and a juice on checkout. The room was lovely nd big and clean with great air conditioning. An amazing experience, especially for the price!

There was a little bit of a damp smell in the room, but nothing too bad. And we would have liked a fresh breakfast during the safari rather than packaged foods. But these are minor details.

Wow our host was the best! He was so incredibly helpful. Fixed the aircon right away, helped us with repairs on the tuktuk and brought us cool drinks and coffee exactly when we needed it😁. The rooms are big and comfortable, with a large bed. Nice shower, quiet location. Lastly we booked an amazing safari in the National Park @ the guesthouse. Couldn't be more satisfied with this accommodation!

I liked absolutely everything

The owner was super hospitable, welcomed us with a couple of cold coconuts, always with a smile and trying to help. The room and the bathroom was super clean and it’s very close to the lake by walk and also you have the amazing trees with the Fruit vats 5 min walking distance. The location is far from town but better this way because is more quiet. You can also book the safary with him and he also offers food. Súper recommended!!!!

Great hosts, very kind and friendly, helping with tours, restaurant recommendations and the local bus. Lovely welcome drinks and really well looked after. Clean, good room size and beautiful exterior with lots of plants. The bathroom had two showers, one hot and one cold.

For me, the bed was a bit too hard, but my back was injured. Otherwise it probably would not have bothered me much.

Our host and his family were very welcoming and friendly. After our arrivial and after our safari the next day he brought us fresh and cool drinks and they cooked amazing curries for us for dinner at a reasonable prize. Our host also did a small bird safari with us at the nearby lake and he offered us transportation to two waterfalls and to Ella by car, which was really comfortable. If we were in need of a safari booking, he would have done it for us.

We booked one night here, so we can reach Yala Park in the morning. The host is very polite and a pleasant person overall, always with a big smile on his face. I recommend both booking the Safari with this host and ordering dinner here. The Food was delicious!!
