Very nice place with only for rooms in a calm area surrounded by a nice garden. The rooms are spacious, super clean and stylish. The owners were so nice and and made us feel comfortable and like home. Its just 8min walk to a long & empty beach and in the area you can find enough restaurants or ask for dinner at lookout lodge. We rented a scooter so we were flexible to explore the whole area with many beautiful beach spots. Definately reccomend this wonderful place!

It would be nice to have a kettle and tea in the room, so you could sit on the terrace in the evenings and drink it in the beautiful natural surroundings. As it is difficult to use the water at the nearby beach due to the large waves, it would be great if there was small swimming pool for guests. The owner said it was planned, so we'll keep our fingers crossed :)

The place is very nice, well-kept, full of greenery and quiet - despite the intimate road next to the hotel. Opposite the hotel there is a reservoir where a variety of birds come to nest. In the morning we listened to their songs. It was also the first time we saw a mouse-deer in person. :D The room is spacious and clean, as is the bathroom. The air conditioning helps with the heat. We really enjoyed the breakfasts - especially the scrambled eggs, the omelette and the pancake with coconut and caramelised sugar/honey. The manager was very helpful and flexible and updated the number of days we stayed without any problems. Last but not least was the host of the place. Speaking good English, communicative and not afraid of a joke, he made us feel at home.

Most loved place during our trip. We felt treated like family. All food was cooked by Jammy and was extraodinary delicious. Allways fresh fruits, superb seafood. Free trinking water from big multiuse bottles. We enjoyed this environmental offer. Large clean room. Nice large balcony with view to a beautiful garden.

The WiFi coverage is not the best inside the room.

Everything. You feel welcome from the moment to enter. Beautiful and quite property in walking distance to all beaches. Spacious high quality super-clean rooms with very comfortable beds. Great hosts that served us a rich breakfast and also prepared us a great dinner with fresh seafood. It was so nice that we opted to extent our stay here :).

This place is really peaceful. A short walking distance from the ocean (you need to walk a bit more for swimming), in a very quiet environment. But most important you are welcomed and treated as guests : all your needs are fulfilled. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are exceptional, made with fresh food. A great place to stay a few days if you want just to relax.

Absolutely beautiful apartment! The owner and staff are so helpful, we never had to worry about anything. They took care of our laundry, cooking, getting us transportation and organising activities for us. We had great breakfasts and dinners at the lodge and the apartments are very comfortable. The place also has a electrical generator which is great since there are many power cuts in Sri Lanka right now. We loved our stay here and even added one more night since it was such a nice experience.

It’s too good - we have to come back.

Everything. The lookout lodge is an oasis close to two wonderful beaches. It’s is calm, spacious and clean. In the morning I did Yoga on our own huge balcony, while seeing the sunrise. The owner is exceptional and makes you feel home. He is tranquil, funny and just a very good soul. In addition he is the best cook in Sri Lanka. Thank you Chaminda 🙏

Eventhough on the south coast, the village of Rekawa is so quiet and nice. While staying in the hotel you have a beautiful beach just around the corner, the lagoon just a few minutes walk. You can see turtles on the beach and have a kayak ride on the lagoon. The owners are so nice and helpful, food is great!

It was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful spot and much more than just a guesthouse. The owner is very friendly and sympathetic. I enjoyed very much to spend the evenings with him. The food was delicious and extraordinary. Very frech seafood and the best curries I got so far. Rekawa Turtle Beach is just a 5 min. walk and is like paradise. I definitely will come back next time.

The most upsetting thing was that I couldn’t stay longer!

The pictures Do not do this hotel justice at all! It is more like a boutique hotel than a guest house. It has literally just been built (that’s why there’s few reviews yet), And there is no way that in a year’s time you’ll be able to stay here with a bargain price of 6000 rupees. The location is within walking distance of Recawa beach, Which is wonderfully wild space which at night you can witness turtles in a natural environment laying eggs. It’s also right next to the lagoon, and I spent the morning kayaking seeing huge monitor lizards and eagles soaring in the sky. It’s one of the most Ecologically orientated Areas of Sri Lanka. The Lagoon And it’s outer areas are also populated with scores of different types of wading birds and herons…..And there are wild peacocks around. The Hotel is basically what every Sri Lankan guesthouse would wish to be like if they had bothered to take the money and time. It’s in typical Sri Lankan style but with all the fixtures beautifully fitted, exceptional workmanship and decor really tasteful. The bed was the most comfortable and the largest in Sri Lanka and it was just immaculate. Absolutely hands down best feature was the humongous balcony area big enough to have a party on and definitely big enough for me to do my chanting and yoga every morning while looking at the jungle to the right and out over the lagoon land in the distance. Chiminda, the host, is a Wonderfully kindhearted and Community spirited guy. They have a small but ample menu and any requests can be accommodated with a little notice. I recommend the tuna platter and the breakfasts were hearty enough to fill you up till lunch. I do recommend going off the beaten track a bit spending At least a few days in this wonderful place.

Great villa! Vacationing with friends! Delicious breakfasts and dinners! Silence and nature. Great rooms! He is the most openhearted and friendly owner I've ever met. We felt at home. It is a pity that the booking does not give a rating of 11. Chaminda we will definitely return next winter.

Lots of ants in the bathroom on the first day. After complaining, the staff used a spray and promised to clean up the next day. But that didn't happen and we had dead ants there for the rest of our stay (3 nights). Breakfast was poor, portions like for a small child. On the last day, when the manager came, the breakfast was better, but we still had to ask for bread for the omelet.. We had to ask for milk for the coffee. Noisy air conditioning. We had to turn it off at night and only use the fan..No value for money...

Functional shower in the bathroom, boiler for heating water.
