I recently stayed at Subaseth Villa in Anuradhapura and had a wonderful experience. The staff were professional and attentive, making sure all our needs were met. The atmosphere was incredibly calming, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Plus, the food was delicious! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful setting.

Not much. Perhaps only the sink, the water that came out was little. And I guess the red ants, but that's nature :)

Brilliant service. The lady that works here was super helpful. I hope she takes enough rest, because she was always there. They also helped us book a tuktuk when we were at the train station, so we wouldn't get scammed and stalked by the tuktuk drivers at the station (the stalking didn't stop until our reserved tuktuk driver came, which was utterly scary). The room was very spacious and situated in nature, so peaceful and relaxing. They gave us enough vegan options and we were allowed to order the food through WhatsApp and got told at what time it would be ready. The garden with the pool and terrace was calming and beautiful.

The location is quite remote, down a tiny rutted muddy road. Quite surprising for such a nice resort.

The staff, the food, the pool - all really high class. Wildlife - spectacular peacocks, occasional monkeys, harmless monitor lizards. Definitely out in nature!!

The location was far away from the main road. Our first room was filled with bugs and lizards and the sink and air condition were dysfunctional. The next one better (but still with a dysfunctional sink).

Very sweet staff. We needed a shift in rooms and they were happy to help us. Breakfast was fine. Delicious food from the restaurant.

Fantastic staff at Subaseth villa they were kind enough to help us with everything we needed for a great stay. Big bedrooms comfortable beds and really great food. It's outside town very peaceful and a lovely place to stay.

Subaseth Villa is amazing, deserving a top score of 10/10! This was my second visit after two years, and everything felt just as welcoming, clean, and peaceful as before, maybe even better. Last time, I missed out on experiencing village life, but this time I made sure to explore by asking for a bike. The staff went out of their way to get me one and set up a great bike tour, suggesting cool spots like the big tanks you see around here. It was a highlight of my trip! The local food here is yummy, and they also have different kinds of food if you want to try something new. The location is perfect, close to Wilpattu National Park and the ancient city of Anuradhapura, so you don't have to switch hotels to see both places. For someone like me who's used to city life, it's the best place to stay because it's like a mix of luxury and nature. Whenever I'm in this area, Subaseth Villa is where I'll be, and I recommend it to everyone!

Subaseth Villa gave us a much needed tranquil break to the beautiful and magical city of Anuradhapura. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was excellent, scan QR card in rooms and order through WhatsApp well in advance was so convenient. All meals are freshly prepared and delectable!! You can access any service to your room just by a WhatsApp message and the staff is super helpful. What we liked most was the silent surrounding in the middle of the jungle surrounded by Peacocks, monkeys, squirrels that can be spotted in hotel garden. The staff was excellent and provided early morning packed breakfasts for us for our trip to Wilpattu at 5.30am! Subaseth Villa has its own Organic coconut and mango grove which is quite impressive. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful property for a well relaxed break!

With the convenience of scanning a QR code in the comfort of my room, I could effortlessly order delicious meals through WhatsApp well in advance. While the meals took a bit longer to prepare, the freshness and quality were well worth the wait. The staff at Subaseth Villa went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their willingness to assist with any request, from room service to arranging tours, truly exemplified their dedication to hospitality. Nestled amidst the tranquil jungle surroundings, the hotel provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The sight of peacocks, monkeys, and squirrels frolicking in the hotel garden added an extra layer of charm to the experience. One highlight of my stay was the early morning packed breakfast provided for our Wilpattu tour at 5:30 am. It was a thoughtful touch that allowed us to start our day of exploration on the right foot. Moreover, the presence of an organic coconut and mango grove on the premises added a delightful tropical touch to the experience, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and locally sourced produce. It wasn't near anything else, so there was no other option but to eat there, and the service was so slow (it took 2 hours to get dinner after ordering on one night). The shower was rusty and the bathroom had mold coming down the wall. The kettle in the room didn't work.

When the food arrived it tasted pretty good, the staff were polite when you found someone to help you. The accommodated our requests (eg. to eat earlier than their dinner time, and make us breakfast to-go when we had an early morning safari)

Overall we had an excellent time during our short stay at Subaseth Villa! The rooms were VERY spacious, beautiful and clean. The food was excellent. And the staff were very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this location if you're looking for a nice, serene getaway in Anuradhapura.
