The food options are very basic specially the breakfast. They just have fruits and bread butter to offer if you are a vegetarian.

This place provides basic accommodation, the room was very neat and clean. The owner is a gentleman who offered us a drop to Lion's rock early morning at 5 am. The staff also was very polite and helpful.

I got bitten up by mosquitoes during the night. A mosquito net would have been welcome. There was a anti mozzie plug but it wouldn't stay on inside the plug, so useless. Also be aware to see the sunset/ sunrise you have to go up some rocks. I had strained my ankle and it was only possible with steady shoes

The location is great, so are the food and breakfast. The staff is awesome!

Minimal hot water pressure.

The viewpoint rock was incredible to watch sunrise over Pidurangala and Lions rock! The manager Jaya was amazing and went out of his way to make our stay memorable! And 10 minutes beautiful forest walk and you’re at Lion Rock. The home cooked meals in the restaurant were delicious!

Rooms with the vibe. The whole place was beautiful. Stuff helped us with arranging the tuktuk for early in the morning to go for sunrise at pidurangala rock. It is also possible to eat a nice food there

Very limited menu and breakfast.

Very quirky and excellent for a geologist like me! The huts were built onto and into a rock which formed the bathroom floor - take slippers. Air conditioning and ceiling fan. Staff exceedingly helpful.

The overall pictures show mainly the best and new rooms while we got for a "big discount" a rather basic room. The room was fine, the bathroom very old and shabby. Price is okay but it should not show up as a big discount and you have to specifically look at the room pictures when selecting the options because rooms differ heavily

The shower didn’t have any heated water working. We didn’t need it during our stay, but it would have been nice to have the option.

The property is super close to Sigiriya/Lion rock and is definitely walkable (10mins to entrance) no need to get a Tuk Tuk if you want to save some money. There is also a fantastic viewpoint from the back yard where we were able to view the sunset on Sigiriya/Lion rock. This alone is worth every penny of the stay!

Transport between the hostel and Sigiriya main road during night is a problem. Tuktuk are very expensive and it’s dangerous to walk because of the wild elephants.

Really friendly family athmosphere. We upgraded our room to a lodge and slept in the middle of the jungle. An amazing experience you'll never forget. Also the food was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay.

The place is near the Sigiriya Rock, the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Good place to stay if you are visiting the Sigiriya Rock.

Am scared of pests, so it rained one night, and a huge scorpion came towards the restaurant area, we were having dinner. The owner came through and swept the scorpion back to the bush. The location of the place is forestry and full of nature all around, so expect certain pest issues to arise. If fumigation can help, hope the lodge should do that. There is mosquitoes please keep your door locked once the sun starts setting.

The place is slightly isolated with local neighborhood surroundings. Close to the Sigiriya rock shouldn't cost you more than 300 rupees to the entrance. Also, there is a lake 1 KM from the lodge. The owner and one assistant did speak English, so it was easy to communicate. The check in process was quick and easy. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner at an extra cist which is still reasonable. So, they will ask you in-advance for the day, so your food can be served on time. We asked the owner to call us a tuk tuk driver, and he called one for us, whom we used the entire time we stayed here, he had reasonable prices. They don't have laundry service, however there is a close laundry mart close by, be sure to negotiate the price.

The wall with the next room was very thin, and the place was a bit out of the way with no stores, and the 'view' was a bit misleading, but because of the great restaurant you don't really need to leave the sight, and it's cheap and near to Sigirya Rock, and I'd stay here again! Thank you!

We had dinner on arrival which despite being reasonably-priced was absolutely delicious and the portions very generous! There was hot water and the bed was really comfy, and there was a nice terrace with chairs and table.

Nice location very close to Sigiriya Rock (5 min walking) and within 30/45 mins by car to other popular places (Dumbulla, Minneriya, Polonnawura). You need a car/tuk tuk to go to the closest restaurants The staff was very helpful. Rooms are essential but clean
