We booked 3 nights to start with but liked the place so much that we decided to extend the stay with 2 more nights. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is in walking distance to the center but away from the noise from the clubs and road to the hotel was ok to drive in our TukTuk. The hotel even made us af free dinner because we stayed so long.

Clean and very well kept. Immersed in the green. The manager and helper are gentle and helpful. During my stay, a rainy evening, the person took the scooter to get some food for me. A good breakfast as well…

Had a very nice stay here - rooms were clean and with comfortable beds, breakfast was tasty and with a good variety and the property was well located a short walk away from the Main Street in town. They were also able to help us with arranging and providing additional things like a day trip to Udawalawe.

What a delight. The view of Ella Rock was a bonus. 500 rupee back from Ella town. I walked a lot. Breakfast and tea included. Chamod welcomed me. He was delightful. I organised a tour with Dinuka +94750981007 whatsapp. Best tour guide. Took me to the Rock to climb, little Adams peak and nine arches. New the best places for pictures. Was so much fun, highly recommended. My room had mosquito net, bathroom. I only slept. There are dogs everywhere, so barking can be heard. They had a variety of rooms as my 2 friends joined me. The family made me happy and safe. YL Roshini was a beautiful host and owner with her husband. Enjoy your stay and I will return. Ella is a vibe. ❤️🦋 you can park a car here.

The family were extremely helpful and kind. When our train arrived 5 hours late, they organised a tuk tuk to pick us up (600slr) at the station and prepared a meal for us to save having to go back into town when we were tired. The guest house is in a quiet street, yet only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Ella. They shared helpful information to visit the nearby attractions of the 9 arches railway bridge and Little Adam's Peak, both within walking distance. Ella has a really upbeat and friendly vibe. The breakfasts were fresh and tasty. Watching squirrels run across the power lines was a novelty..The outdoors lounging area is comfortable and there is the opportunity to do a book swap here as well.

The house is getting a little old, maybe a bit paint on the walls and a decorational touch would help to bring the house back to shine!

New blue home was a very nice and quiet Guest House! The location was a good starting point to explore Things like Little Adam’s Peak, nine arches Bridge and so on… We really enjoyed our stay here and we’re surprised by the young guy who’s working there, his nickname is “Shark” and he is such a blessing! He cook for us deliciously dinners and made us have a pleasant stay! The breakfast was really good as well and everyday a bit different! We felt so welcome and good at New Blue Home that we would recommend it from the heart to everyone who’s going to visit Ella!

The only advice I have is to try and book the rooms on the first floor. The ground floor rooms lack a little privacy at times.

Good location, only a 5 minute walk into town. Little Adams Peak and Nine Arches Bridge a scenic 30-minute walk away. Breakfasts were ok and best enjoyed from the deck overlooking the mountains. The accommodation is mostly run by a young man named Shark. And he is brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, and he was full of great tips on the area.

Don’t miss it if you want an immersive nature staying, terrace view amazing and room had a big comfortable bed, with all the facilities. They upgraded my room i was so lucky, ask for the upper rooms especially for more nights staying. Family owners and staff are very caring and friendly, they helped me arranging daily tour and also gave a take away breakfast (super yummy and appreciated) for my early leaving in the morning. They also spontaneously came for picking me up at night along the way. Feeling safe and comfortable like at home

Almost nothing but the animals nightlife. Beware to have earbuds if you can't sleep with noise.

Located in a secluded area, you can be sure to be far from the main busting street while you are 10 min walk from the nearest SPA, restaurant, bars that serve alcohol. The room is tidy and as in the pictures. Shark the concierge was very helpful with us. Welcoming us with an afternoon tea. We had a nice stay

Very good , calm and nice place to visit. Near to the city center , 9 arc bridge and ravana zipline. we have a big room with very neat bathroom. The English breakfast is good. Host is very kind and polite person. Fulfilled all our request from providing tea, breakfast and other requests.

Excellent hosts! The family provided a great variety of breakfasts, we quite enjoyed it. The beds are quite comfortable and shower with hot water was good. The location is quiet, yet within walking distance to town and attractions (Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arches Bridge and Ella Rick).

The walls were a little thin, so if you want to sleep early it can happen that you wake up to the sound of other guests coming home later. But it was not a big problem.

The New Blue Home is a great accommodation for people wanting to stay a few days in Ella. We had a great time exploring the town and its surroundings. The staff, especially the Hostel owners son Kavitha (i hope i spelled that correctly), is very helpful and eager to support you in any request you might have. The rooms are spacious enough and equipped well, the only thing some people might miss is AC. However, for the price it will be tough to find anything better in Ella. The Breakfast was tasty and had a nice mix of some local but also some western style dishes. I recommend this Hostel for anyone wanting to visit Ella.

The breakfast (vegan option) compering to pictures was poor. Description about toiletries and kitchen did not match reality in the accomodation (kitchen was not available and no toiletries were provided)

The young guy running the place who I understand is the son of the manager did a great job and went out of his way to help me and give me advice. It was raining heavily while I was in Ella and he spent a long time with me discussing the best route for me to my next destination as I was riding a scooter. Thanks 🙏
