The owners were so friendly and helpful, it’s in a great location to the beach and restaurants. It has a really homely feel to place. Highly recommend

There is no aircon. We upgraded because some rooms haven't got hot water but to be fair i didnt need a red hot shower and just used the normal shower.

Lise and Yan greeted us like old friends. What a wonderful place to stay. The view from the balcony was really relaxing. Could sit out at tree top level with all the bird life. The food that Lise cooks in the roof top restaurant is incredible and authentic Italian. We stayed for 5 nights and ate there every night because it was so delicious. Its situated in a really good area close to the beach and other places to eat and drink if wanted to. We saw lots of turtles and had a wonderful time. Thank you so much. Darren and Joy.

Our hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, well equipped and smelt lovely and fresh. It is in a great location for nightlife, but still nice and peaceful. I could happily have spent a few more days there.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED We had a wonderful time at my home guesthouse. Just off the beach. The room was lovely and clean with many extra touches which made the stay very comfortable (mini fridge and huge beach towels. Bathroom with plenty of towels and toiletry...) The balcony was very private and a nice place to chill whilst the rooftop terrace and restaurant is the place to be to enjoy authentic handmade Italian food by Lisa who is a maestro in the kitchen! And best of all was the warm welcome of Yann (french) and Lisa (italian) who gave us all the tips on the best spots and activities around. Away from the busiest tourist spots, we swam with wild turtles and go on river safaris to see the crocodiles without the exploitation of animals which can be seen in other beaches. Yann and Lisa made us feel like visiting friends. We will be back!

The best accommodation I could choose. It is a very nice location. The name describes what my experience was like. I really felt at home! Very nice room with terrace, the restaurant on the top floor helped when I didn't want to look where to go for dinner, the food was great! Thank you very much to the hosts, they can give great advice and will take care of you like your mother! When I go to Sri Lanka again, I know where I will be staying :)

everything was just perfect! we had a super nice and clean room. (with a little fridge - how cool is that?!) the bathroom was also big & clean. you can sit outside your room and you will have a beautiful view with a lot of palm trees! we booked 5 days and stayed 10!

This was our second stay, during last two years, in this resort. Lisa and Ian are the best hosts. They are very helpful and friendly. Nothing is problem. They arranged for us crocodille trip. They invited us on Ians birthday. Lisa makes best breakfast. im sure, there is no better place in Matara, where to stay. next time, we will book room in they resort again. 🙏🏼❤️

The rooms were cosy and comfortable. The hosts were very kind and helpful. They were easy to communicate with. The place is walking distance to Doctors and the madiha beach as well as Polhena beach. It's a small property but they had all the amenities including towels and a mini fridge

Really lovely place right close to the sea, Lisa and Jan are both really lovely and welcomed us with open arms, super comfy room with a nice big bathroom, and the breakfast was amazing! only stayed for 1 night but we will definitely be back, really recommend!

My stay was just as things were starting to open again after covid restrictions. This was both good and bad. It meant things were very quiet, but it also meant that not all restaurants or attractions were open yet. I trust things will be continually picking up!

There were a number of things I truly enjoyed about my stay at My Home Resort. It is in a very nice location. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. It had all needed amenities. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The porch was a wonderful place to relax (and work). Most of all I appreciated that the hosts made the "My Home" part of the "My Home Resort" a truly appropriate name. Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
