While I enjoyed my stay, it did feel overpriced compared to other equally (and sometimes more) lovely places I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. As other guests have mentioned below, I really think that for the price it should be all-inclusive, or the food included at least. I wanted a rustic experience, which I why I chose a tent - and you get that & it’s lovely, but I’m not quite sure why it cost so much. This is an issue for the owner though, NOT the lovely local staff.

The staff were lovely - really attentive and sensitive to the fact I was a woman travelling on my own & staying in a tent with potential wildlife visitors! I always felt that they were looking out for me. The Operations Manager, Rewan, is very helpful with onward travel, info about food, wildlife, etc too. The camp’s dogs are adorable & I really enjoyed an afternoon lying in the hammock with Dobbie the dog at my feet & watching a nature documentary in the chill-out area with lovely sounds from nature all around me - a monkey even came to say hello at one point! The camp fire at night is also really special; I loved eating outside it was so atmospheric. The tent is very comfortable, clean & well equipped (thank goodness for the AC!) We saw two leopards on safari too which was amazing!

    Nothing, we loved it.

First of all, this is not an accommodation, it's an experience. The tents are equipped with everything you need, the beds are super-comfy. Although we were prepared for a noisy night, given the fact that you are in the wild, it was surprisingly calm. The dinner and breakfast were very good and in the evening we had a lovely camp fire. We took the safari organized by the Camp Leopard Team, the afternoon one, and our guides were the best. With their knowledge we were able to see the leopard in all its splendor and all the other beautiful animals in the Yala Park. So if you are looking for something different and an amazing safari experience, search no more.

Perhaps more space to sit inside the glamp but otherwise perfect.

My wife and I had a beautiful time here as part of our belated honeymoon. Everything here was a service rather than something you needed to ask for, and they listen and adapt that service without you having to ask - even buying a birthday cake as they overheard it was a guests birthday. Chathuni was a wonderful host for our tour, passionate and nerdily knowledgeable about all the animals and nature as part of the tour; and so keen to learn more. We especially appreciated the guides showing us every bird as part of the tour and telling us about them in detail rather than chasing big game as we saw some other guides did to no avail that day. Camp Leopard made our trip special - and from everyone that works there the owner makes their time feel special too.

Nothing to mention, well managed property and people

The property was meticulously curated, and the staff were carefully chosen for their generosity and hospitality. The food and welcome drinks were well prepared; they include selections that I am confident many will try for the first time. Clubbing with safari makes you feel comfortable because they can arrange everything to make your safari trip more convenient. I met Umasha, the safari coordinator; she was excellent and very knowledgable about flora and fauna. Our enjoyable stay at Camp Leopard was made possible by the expertise of the personnel. Mark, the property's owner, deserves a huge congratulations for everything. See you soon!

My only fault was the check in times are so rigid and we ended up waiting for hours to check in.

We didn't have breakfast at the camp as we did dawn safaris so ate whilst on the go but it was a good breakfast with coffee or tea.

It is a unique experience. The tent rooms are so cute and had nice details. The staff was so warm and welcoming. Loved our stay! We did the morning safari with them and had a great experience. Our female ranger was so wonderful. She is sweet, smart and tells great stories to fill the time while you are waiting to see spot the animals. I would recommend going with them for safari. They really go above and behind. Also we had coffee and tea in the jeep! So cool.
