By far the best homestay we have ever stayed! The family is welcoming, friendly and always has a smile. Their three boys are so cute and polite. Their house is in the middle of the shady forest with beautiful surroundings. Breakfast is amazing !!! Delicious and changes every day. The room is spacious, clean and gets not too hot. Lion Rock easily reachable by foot, but family also organise transfer. Thank you so much for this amazing stay. Can't recommend enough

Gorgeous little jungle bungalow near to Sirigiya Rock and walking distance from a selection on places for dinner. Beautiful natural surroundings and very friendly family. Lots of birds and animals you can watch from the veranda and the breakfast was gorgeous. The owner also helped us a bit with our tuktuk, which we really appreciated!

The family running this place is super kind. It was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom. Nestled in nature surrounded by palm trees, the whole area feels very untouristy, with small homestays and family restaurants. There's no buzz of a touristy crowded town. We just wish we had more time to stay longer! The father of the family has his own tuk-tuk, so you can ask for a pickup when you arrive, or he can take you to Pidurangala Rock for sunrise!

The towels were old and very hard. The bedsheets were not very clean. Quite far from tourist attractions.

The house is located on a quiet street, surrounded by lush tropical trees and flowers, with birds singing. The family is the sweetest and kindest, always smiling and making sure you are well taken care of. The breakfast is delicious and generous. We felt at home for the 3 nights we spent there. 🤍🐘✨

I stayed 4 days in this green lush garden homestay run by a very nice Sri lankan family and their 3 sons. A very calm place at a walking distance from the center of the village. Very clean and comfortable rooms and delicious home made food. The owners were always very cooperative and helpful and at the same time discrete. I had best rest after constant travelling and changing places. I definitely would come back again.

The room does smell because of humidity like stated in some of the previous reviews, so be mindful of that before booking. Other than that this is an amazing place, and extra clean!

Great place surrounded by nature and immersed in the jungle, you can go for amazing walks through the rice fields nearby. Very good dinners and above all the loveliest family and kids. We had a lovely time here!

The nicest family guest house! Breakfast was delicious. The lush gardens around the house are so beautiful. We had everything we needed, it was the best value for money and the family took a great care of us. Highly recommend to stay here if you are on a budget and want to stay with a local family :)

Surprised by some reviews! Book a super budget room, get great value, yet some complain about water pressure. Maybe opt for a pricier room if that's a deal-breaker.

Loved everything! Best deal in all of Sri Lanka - Wi-Fi, hot water, and breakfast included. The family is super nice and the owner's Tuk Tuk rides made exploring easy!

The location is perfect, 30 min walking to Sigiriya and near the road to take the bus to Dambulla. The owner's family is amazing, we felt like home. The breakfast is delicious and we had lunch and dinner there too. Everything was tasty and she could cook vegetarian dishes for me. Thank you very much! The room was big and we had a terrace to chill. Green Bamboo is the best place I've been in Sri Lanka.

Beautiful bungaloo with big and confi private bathroom and a super nice terrace to relax, read and enjoy breakfast. It was about 30 min walking distance from Lion Rock & all the restaurants and 1 hr walking from pirudangala rock! Wifi was great and breakfast was also amazing: one day i got coconut rotti with sambal and the 2nd day coconut pancakes :). I can only recommend this place!!

Best price I have ever had for a hostel and worth a lot more. Lovely host that helped arrange tuktuks etc. They also offer dinner - which again was really cheap and just delicious! Beds were the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka.
