One big problem is that the curtains in the room are white and quite see-through, so after sunrise the room is very very bright, it was difficult to continue sleeping after 7 am. This is something we strongly recommend the hotel to deal with

We had an amazing stay in El Destino. The staf was really friendly and helped us with everything we need. We would really recommend to stay at El Destino and we would definitely come back the next time when we are in Hiriketiya.

You could hear them cleaning the stairs early each morning. I would like a room safe.

Excellent breakfast provided- not the full English/Irish but a menu of pancakes, toast, fresh fruit, breakfast burger/wrap or our favourite a musli bowl to choose from. Served on the roof top will sea views. Towels for the beach given. Monkeys visit the roof top at breakfast time. It felt very safe. Up a hill from the bay-which I wanted in case of emergencies. The room was modern, light, some storage, the drying rack was great. Toiletries smelt great. Towels were fresh. Very comfortable large bed.

It has a good quality/price ratio compared to other hotels in the area. Its close to the beach but be aware that there is a small uphill road to get to the hotel which you can’t tell on the map. The rooms were clean and they have a cute rooftop.

Breakfast was very small given this was one of our more expensive hotels we had stayed in. Could have had the option to pay for additional breakfast items if we wanted.

Loved my stay here while travelling the south coast as a solo female traveller in off season. The location is perfect just a short walk up a hill from the beach, beautiful rooftop, a great place to work from. The rooms feel spacious and cozy at the same time. The staff were so friendly they felt like my friends, and there were even puppies. ♥️

Rooftop terrace is lovely, but could have some more furniture or some more sun protection.

Modern and new building, with large rooms (high ceilings), beautiful rooftop terrace. Hotel has easy access to main beach and to good restaurants like MOND or smoke and bitters. We really liked the breakfast options! One of the best hotels we stayed in over 3 weeks traveling in Sri Lanka, especially considering value for money.

This place is heaven!! So modern, clean, friendly and fresh. Minutes walk from the beautiful Hiriketiya beach. The rooms are brand new and so funky. The staff are so smiley and friendly. Super worth every cent.

Unfortunately during our visit there were a lot of ants in the room and the bathroom, unsure for the reason of this if the room had been cleaned on our arrival but we have stayed in other hotels around Sri Lanka and not had this problem.

The interior and decor of the hotel and rooms is beautiful and it had everything we needed during our stay, staff were helpful. Just a 5-10 min walk to each beach. Welcome drinks on arrival and water in the room!

Wifi didn't work at all, paid for a "sea view" but could barely see the sea. The rooftop lacks shade and comfortable chairs to make full use of the space.

Staff were amazing, great location for both Dikwella and Hiriketiya, rooms were spacious modern and clean with good aircon!

The staff even if nice, they have low level of English so difficult to communicate. The strong light and sun are coming in the early morning from the window so you will wake up very early, the curtains are white and transparents so not really confortable. Also none clean the room in 3 days. Few dogs in the street in the night are very very annoying and we woke up few times. Hope this review will help to improve all those points.

The hotel is new, the design is nice and minimalist, the location it is not too bad between the two beaches, pretty good breakfast and smiling staff.
