Very Gay friendly which we appreciated as a Gay couple. Allowed another local couple to visit us to swim.in the pool. Allowed us to bring our own wine with a reasonable corkage charge. Nice clean pool and best breakfast offering of any Ive ever had - thank you

We were blown away by this place. We had already spent two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka, spent two months travelling around Europe and Morocco and were flying home for a final stopover back in Sri Lanka. We rated this hands down as the most friendly and welcoming place we stayed at during the whole trip. Unfortunately in this day and age most properties we stayed in had been “virtual “, no people, just a QR code or app to get in and out, nice inside but usually sterile and soulless and sadly lacking in any local information .So to arrive at this boutique hotel immediately put a smile on our faces. We will definitely be back to Sri Lanka and our first and last stop will be here.

All of the staff members were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We felt right at home. The pool is great: the perfect temperature, deep, with a recliner for every guest. The room was very comfortable, with high quality shower gel, shampoo, etc. A/C worked well; shower was hot; everything worked as it should.

PolandOur stay in Dickman Resort was amazing! The hotel has a really great design, with well equipped, comfortable rooms, pool and bar/dining area. What makes it really stand out though is the great atmosphere created by the Staff! They are very attentive, eager to help and cater for your every need and doing it all with constant smile! Great people, great place, we can't recommend it enough and hope to come back there one day!

United KingdomThere was only a mirror in the bathroom and no plug sockets in there so really difficult to do my hair! A mirror on the desk area would be perfect. Negombo itself was the most touristy place we stayed and our least favourite, but Dickman was an oasis that we would definitely go back to!
It's such a gorgeous place to stay. We stayed in lots of cheap and cheerful places whilst travelling around Sri Lanka but decided to treat ourselves to a bit of luxury before we flew home. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The pool and bar are open 24 hours a day so it was really novel having a swim after dinner at midnight. The cocktails are strong and really yummy. The breakfast was huge, starting with a plate of lovely fresh fruits and then they made us vegan curry with bread and hoppers. There's a pool table which was fun to play on. We stayed in the aqua room with pool view. The bed was massive, it was like sleeping in different postcodes! The location was on a back road 2min walk to the seafront and main road, very safe every 24hrs a day by ringing the bell. Lots of places to eat nearby.

United StatesI wouldn’t fault it, anything that was lacking was made up for by the warmth of the staff.
For a solo female traveller this property was perfect. The staff we friendly, helpful and as a solo female traveller I felt safe and 100% comfortable. I booked the red room- way too big for a solo traveller but I loved it- felt like a queen! There’s even a few animals on-site- a couple of tortoises who love some basil. I walked down to the 5* properties on the beach and I highly recommend you give them a miss (crows!!!!) and stay here.

We had the room with the view of the garden; it was exactly that. Beautiful garden. Cappuccino is great here. And chilling by the pool is very quiet and relaxing. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Generally the place has its unique vibe, which I liked a lot. It's plenty of colours, spacious. We had a large suite with a view over the pool. It was very comfortable and pleasant to stay. Perfect bed. Great and plentiful breakfast. The staff was extremely helpful. We spent there only one night after our flight to Colombo so didn't have time to see the surroundings.

AustraliaWhat a delightful way to start our holiday in Sri Lanka. We came straight from the import to the hotel ( organised by the hotel team ) and straight away felt at home. It is a small intimate hotel with bold colours and a gorgeous pool. The breakfast was delicious and the fruit sensational. The team were so helpful and attentive and we had some great conversations about Sri Lanka and what to expect for our next month. We stayed in the yellow room and it had a lovely view onto garden , a huge bathroom and plenty of space.

Amazing hotel, a little oasis. My room was huge and nicely decorated - the bed was massive. Not that many people there which was also quite nice! Staff were lovely and helpful with ordering food and any other requests. The location was close to a lot of restaurants and not far from the beach.
