The best advantage for me is the option of paying with banking cards, as 99% of Sri Lanka are cash only. Then, the location is quite convenient to the city centre. They have a good free WiFi and it’s exceptionally clean to the Sri Lankan standards with comfortable sleep. And the receptionist was quite friendly too. Keep it up!

Dirty and out dated . The door didn't shut properly and was basically as thick as paper. While we were there it was windy and we thought the glass was going to break

Unfortunately we almost couldn’t sleep due to the extremely cold room. This wouldn’t had been a problem if had a proper bed linen. There was just one used blanket (not clean) and 2 small single sheets to use under, but both doesn’t fit (totally different sizes), so you spend the hole night fighting to get covered by the sheets and don’t touch that much the used blanket. Still, even if this wasn't a big problem when it came to keeping warm, they weren't enough for the cold weather in the city.

No soundproofing in the room and the family that owned the hotel used the common area outside the rooms to hang out with their children who where screaming until late at night and very early in the morning, being extremely noisy without respecting the guests.

The rooms are very small. No enough hot water the heater is enough for one person. Very narrow stair difficult to move freely. No room fridge or hair dryer.

They indicated that they would accept credit card payment, but the staff was not trained to run credit cards so I had to pay in cash. The building was locked one night when I returned at 10:30PM, and I had to get them to let me into my room!

The food was very basic and bit tasteless

The room was quite small and very basic. Even though we had booked the boy on 'reception' looked very confused when we arrived as if he wasn't expecting us. The guest house was a fair walk from nearby restaurants and the main town

This is the cutest guesthouse. Nice communal areas so you can meet other travelers too. It's situated above the main road but not too far up, because those hills get real steep at the end of a long day! The bed was incredibly comfortable. Like I slept gooooood! The showers were very hot (much needed on the cool mornings) and there's a really nice balcony off some of the rooms. My room had big French doors that made it feel so airy. The manager really goes above and beyond and can offer great day tours too. Breakfasts are great and the coffee will really get you into gear!
