The mini fridge was a bit dirty and smelly.

We enjoyed the nice breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for exploring Mirissa.

For me (185 cm) the bed was a little bit too small but it has happened before in Sri Lanka.

Great location, super friendly staff and a big, clean room with AC. The hosts were very helpful. We came back from our whale watching tour at 1 pm and then still got a late breakfast served. Also we forgot something in the room and they helped us straight away to get it back. Would definitely come back here :)

A neighbour’s dog barks a lot! both day and night, so your sleep may be disturbed.

Lovely friendly staff, and great Sri Lanka hospitality. Very good value for money. This hotel is a great option in a quiet but central neighbourhood, with good restaurants, shops, laundry, and good coffee all within a minute walk.

The room was a bit small for a family of 5. Two double beds but not their fault.

The shower was my only slight complaint as it was pretty rustic and no enclosed area so the entire. bathroom floor gets all well. Wasn’t that big of a deal for me though.

First, the staff were so kind and wonderful. They were very accommodating, doting, and helped me out with a travel related pinch I got myself into. The room was very clean. For the money, it was a very good value if you want a budget hotel room. No bells and whistles, but totally did the job! I extended 2 nights actually for a total of 5.

We've been here 10 months ago already and we booked this place again because we much enjoyed it the last time. It's calm and quiete though it's just a 5 min. walk to the beach. Again we had the deluxe room. We love the big and comfortable bed. Breakfast is very good, room and washroom are very clean. Love to sit in the balcony with garden view. All for a reasonable price. Tusath and his family are so friendly and always available and helpful. Everything was as good as the last time. We've stayed at many places in Sri Lanka already, because we visit Sri Lanka regularly. The Awon Hotel is one of our most favorite places to stay. We're sure we will come back again to Mirissa and then will stay here again. Thank you again, Tusath.

The weather at the room was actually hot at the morning but over all it is not their problem as the power is cut off sometimes due to lack of fuel in the country

It is a place owned by a family which have a really good attitude and they try their best to help you. They are very friendly and they offered us a free breakfast twice at our stay. Finally it is only 2 minutes walk to Mirissa beach and 15 minutes to coconut hill .

The hostel have good location to main beach (7min by walk) the room was incredible comfortable, wifi and toilet also good. You can arrange other facilities (bike, tours, etc) with the owner who is very friendly and kind ✌️ very nice place 🔥

We had a wonderful stay. Tusath and his family are very kind and friendly hosts. Breakfast was good with a variety you could choose of. We were able to reach Tusath whenever needed and he has been very helpful all the time. He can help with the pick up from the airport and the booking for all the tours to the attractions around this area, e. g. whale watching. He also helped us finding the right busses for our day trips, if you want to travel the way the locals do and get to know the real Sri Lankan Travel experience. The room and washroom were very clean. The bed was big and absolutely comfortable, the location is very calm and quite. So we had a good sleep every night which we much appreciated. Nevertheless it is very close to the beach of Mirissa (just a 5 min. walk) where a couple of restaurants serving delicious Sri Lankan and international snacks and meals. Even some have music and dance floors available in the evening if you want to party. But not all, so it's your choice what you're up to. Besides there are many restaurants very close to the hotel as well, much cheaper as at the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and clean, easy to access and perfect for swimming and sunbathing. We loved it and promise we will come back to Mirissa and the Awon Hotel. Thank you so much Tusath for making this a perfect stay.
