The pool was a bit green.

We all had cabins on the river which was fun. They are actually larger than they look in the photos. The staff were amazing!

Expensive for what it is (50usd the night), with an overrated exchange rate if you pay in kip (all hostels do this though...). The tickets to get back to the mainland are also sold 20% more expensive than what was proposed down the road, beware of this.

Good location. We had a studio by the water, the place was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool was nice too, despite having a greenish color which makes it look "natural"; I guess we aren't used to not having the smell of chlorine in a swimming pool

Some of the chairs in the restaurant were not very comfortable. The pool was not that great and looked like it needed a clean.

Really lovely, quiet hotel, overlooking the river. The staff were exceptionally lovely - Mr Katai and his wife, and Mr Kai couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. The heritage room was really nice, if a little dark. The food was fabulous and sitting overlooking the river was wonderful.

Rooms are not sealed, and being right on the water there were quite a few insects.

So fantastic to be right on the water. We really enjoyed watching the night fishermen from our balcony!

Water pressure was horrible in both the sink and shower. Breakfast was limited. Wall with neighbor very thin.

We had a floating bungalow so loved being on the water and watching river life. Large room, beds were decent. Air con worked great and the ceiling fan was nice to have. Pool was nice to cool off in after a hot day exploring. Staff very nice and a few spoke English and were very helpful.

This hotel, like many others in Laos, has just opened after the long lockdown of COVID. Funds to improve the hotel infrastructure need to be generated to bring the hotel back up to par. I am sure over the coming months, the management team will be able to make necessary repairs and bring the standard of the hotel up to what it should be. Good luck

Staff were really accommodating and attentive, room was cleaned regularly and breakfast was very good. The location is spot on overlooking the river.

Nothing actually. If there's anything to improve, it would be breakfast. It was ok, but a bit more variety would be nice.

The floating villa we had was better than expected. Comfortable beds, hot shower and all facilities worked properly. Beautiful view on the Mekong, both with sunrise and sunset. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was breathing tranquility. I would for sure recommend it!

The bungalow is rather in bad repair and with poor soundproofing. Contrary to what is mentioned in Booking, there is no effective Wifi. We needed to go elsewhere at a restaurant to be able to get wifi. Scanty breakfast. We recommend you a place next door that is better. In addition, breakfast is not opened at 7AM (even if they tell you so) but at 7:30 AM. Ramshackle and ageing bicycles that need to be fixed.

It is well located in Don Khon. The floating bungalow on the river was very pleasant. The bicycle rent was useful although the bicycles are in bad shape and need to be changed. It was quite easy to organise the trip back with the hotel (even if they have higher prices than elsewhere).

IF the power goes out (thunderstorm or something), don't panic-- it comes back on within an hour or so. It's not unique to here. This has happened once here and a few times elsewhere in Laos for us. I panicked the first night. LOL. It's fine.

Don Khone is the place to be, if you're trying to decide. we almost stayed in Don Det, and I am so glad I spent a bit extra and came here. The village is lovely, the whole island is really nice to bike around, and Sala Done Khone is lovely. The AC works very well, the floating studios are lovely, and the breakfast is great and large. The other meals are also good at the restaurant, or there are plenty of options close by. They provide everything you need and the beds are super comfy! Thanks very much for a lovely stay. We didn't want to leave.

We loved our stay in one of the floating bungalows. A lot of space, amazing view of the river, comfortable bed and a good shower. The staff was very nice and helpful and made sure we had everything we wanted.

We booked a Floating house . Amazing place to stay right on the Mekong Delta . Location good , very chilled place. Breakfast was great . Swimming pool was good . Very nice to watch the sunsets from your own veranda. Will definitely be recommending this hotel .
