Vongprachan was very pleasant. We appreciated the personal welcome from the manager who showed us all the main attractions of the city on a map and gave us an upgrade to our room. Jessica was always there when we needed her and she was also very helpful in organising a scooter and onward tickets for us. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff was friendly and attentive. All in all, very good value for money.

The wifi was slightly temperamental

We had a lovely stay here and it was a great base from which to explore Luang Prabang. The staff were so welcoming and kind and helped us book various tours and onwards transport (as well as a speed laundry service!). Thank you! PS - there is an excellent restaurant directly across the street rom the property called Bamboo Garden.

Absolutely beautiful experience at this hotel. The room was comfortable, spacious and impeccably clean with plenty of amenities. Their breakfast options were also delicious! Location was very central and very close to the night market and other attractions. The staff were very warm and helpful with our needs and booking transport. We were always greeted with warmth and they always went above and beyond.

We really enjoyed our stay at Maison Vongprachan. All the staff were so kind and helpful to us especially recommending places and helping book transport. They also upgraded us to a family room for free which was a nice bonus. The hotel is just a short walk from all of the main sights in LP and there’s many good restaurants very close by.

The location is close to lots of restaurants, but is about a 20 minute walk to most of the attractions, so keep that in mind while booking. We got lots of steps in so didn’t mind! The AC also didn’t work very well in our room, but I think there was probably an issue with our AC unit so this might not be applicable to other rooms.

Staff are so lovely. The place is very clean, and the breakfast is great.

Saying goodbye

When I first checked in I was amazed by the hospitality, information given and how painless everything went. I have only experienced this in one other country, Vietnam. It was then clear to me which country Steve and Jessica was from. They did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible, and they were always so happy and welcoming. I booked my train tickets with them, and they even helped my friend, which wasn’t even a guest at their hotel. The room and facilities were also perfect, so no complaints there either.

The balcony advertised wasn’t private but was outside the room in the hallway. Not a big deal for us as we weren’t around in the day to chill on the balcony but could be misleading for some.

Lovely room with good aircon and nice bathroom. Jessica was very friendly and helpful with booking onward travel and giving directions around town.

Very enjoyable stay. Well designed hotel room, good aircon, a small desk, mini refrigerator and I like how the wash basin is separate from the toilet and shower. Breakfast was really good, the banana pancake became a favourite. Lovely staff and good value for the price. And somewhere safe to park my motorcycle. Recommended.

Comfortable facilities and not crowded. The best part for me is that they offer affordable tour packages, money exchange at a good rate and help to arrange my transportations. Jessica, the host, in particular is very friendly and approachable.

What I didn't like was having to say goodbye at the end of our stay.

The management and all the staff are just so unbelievably friendly and welcoming, I highly recommend that you become a guest at the hotel.
