The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the historic area and next to the Mekong river. It made it so convenient to experience the markets, temples and museums. Peter, the owner of the guesthouse was an excellent host. He really went out of his way to help to book activities, including checking in each time I being picked up to ensure that all was organized and set. Peter makes his guest feel like they have their own home in Luang Prabang. He has a wonderful restaurant attached which had the most delicious and organic foods (both local and Western).

This is hands downs the best hostel I have stayed at during my one-year-trip around Southeast Asia. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the breakfast served every morning is pretty good, the showers are great and the beds are comfortable. Also, great location, you have everything you need around it.

This is a reconditioned 1960s house. It has an enormous amount of character, especially with the three bedrooms upstairs. If you like wooden floorboards, timber shatters, and a friendly family vibe, this place is for you!

My first impression of the room wasa bit "rustic"... but it grew on me. ... I will certainly be back.

The staff were fabulous... I am travelling with an injury and they were really helpful. Son was charming and had lots of contacts. Food by Peter...fabulously. Very close to the morning market for great breakfast and adventure. Rooms are simple but spotless.

Everything, food was amazing, Peter was great, the staff were so helpful. Could arrange trains and trips through them cheaply and easily. Bedroom was beautiful and the balcony was an added plus! Garden was beautiful and location perfect

Wifi was patchy but not a big deal, since one is on holiday!

Excellent quality of food, with Peter offering off-menu specials for dinner when we ate in. Having dinner with the family was just the perfect note. Breakfast was excellent, a great start to the day of exploring. The morning markets are just 25 metres outside the gate, and a wonderful way to know the place and meet the locals haggling over daily needs like a bowl of riverweed or a jar of spices. equally, that means the night market is just minutes away to take in the vibes, people-watch and enjoy chatting with locals over their crafts.

The location is perfect. On the left is Mekong River and on the right is the morning - night market; everything is just a few steps away. Rooms and facilities were well taken care which are very comfortable and clean. In addition, I liked to have home-made Kambucha offered by on-site restaurant after my meals. :)

The room was a little dark for my tastes. I like a lot of light.

Superb hotel and wonderful location with friendly and helpful staff. Peter goes out of his way to help you and so does his assistant Sohn. The room quality and everything about the place, including the easy going nature of the stay, self-service for drinks etc... no trouble - no hassle. I'm saving the best for last though. Breakfast is included and in travels around the world it is the best breakfast I have ever had compliment of the hotel. That and any other food you wish to buy is of top standard and made fresh to order. Short walk to downtown and to the Night Market.

The weather was too hot in late April/May, the fan wasn't enough to survive the heat.

A little bit rustic, nice place. The shared bathroom was pretty good. Kind, helpful hosts. Good location, close to the morning and night market. They have good food in the restaurant with early breakfast options. Booking tickets, organizing tours are also possible here. Best wifi in Laos!

We loved our 5-night stay here! Location was central, close to everything. The room was clean and AC cold, the breakfast was delicious and the kittens were adorable. We’ll stay again when we make it back to Luang Prabang. Don’t skip the sunset cruise that Peter recommends and definitely try his homemade jams! (If you’re looking for a pool to cool off in, the fancy hotel down the street offers a day pass!)
