Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

South KoreaThe summer bedding was made out of a material I’m allergic to (very scratchy polyester) so i had to sleep with the towels. The showers are weird so you can’t have the water running while you wash your hair.
The location can’t be beat. It’s a short walk away from Anguk station or a nice walk away from Jonggak Station. The next best thing is the breakfast. The owners offer fresh vegetables (potatoes/tomatoes/lettuce) plus ordinary things like peanut butter, toast, ramen, cereal, milk.

NetherlandsOur room was very small and the bunk beds are very low so it was hard to sit up. You could only lay down or stand up. Also the shower was just a handle attached to the wall. It wasn’t a proprietary shower cabin so when showering you made everything around you wet. That was not shown on the pictures properly as they were showing “a normal shower”.
Amazing location, in the middle of Insa Dong which is nearby to most tourist attractions in Seoul. The hostel has also a free breakfast which is great! You can also do the laundry and use the rooftop which has nice view.

AustraliaThe room is very small, difficult to accommodate guests' suitcases. Walking inside the room wasn't even an option. The shower in the room didn't work properly with hot water, with very little water flow. I complained on the first day but nothing changed.
The hostel is very well located. They change the towel daily and have free breakfast.

Comfy warm winter bed with proper doona. Well organised shared kitchen/dining table. The area is like walking onto a movie set of old style Korea- very historical. Very unique character. No industrial size hipster cement style hostel here.

ItalyI'm not a big fan of the shower being inside the bathroom :/ The room (two bunk beds) was pretty small so it made it difficult to move when there was just one other person in the room.
The stuff is very friendly, the kitchen provides many things for free for breakfast (eggs that you can cook, coffee, milk, juice, cereals, bread, ...) and that's was pretty amazing! I also got a clean new towel every day. Location is great! Central, close to shopping street, restaurants, metro station.

Philippinesthe dorm room was super small. didnt realize that what u saw on the pic, that's it. not hostel's fault but there was a smelly guest during my stay and I had to open the door to air out the smell. don't know how this can be remedied maybe open the door 1-2hrs during the day? the temperature of the hot shower couldnt be controlled well, it was too hot
oh my the location is so great! you can see a lot in insadong area just by walking and it's near a strategic bus and train station, and also airport bus station. easy to get to myeongdong which is where most of the tour meet up place is. host is great! he said there was no more free breakfast but there was still some during my stay so that was great. enough to start the day (bread, eggs, cereal, milk, jam, coffee, etc). bed and duvet was comfy and towels were changed everyday. bathroom was cleaned everyday!
