Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe room is small but fine for a base to explore the city. It was so handy having a little kitchen area with a washing machine and clothes horse. The bathroom is also tiny but the shower was very powerful and always hot.

PhilippinesHaving no receptionist to assist when there’s concerns. Our room was opened and the door was left opened without advising us.
The location is near Myeongdong and Namsan Tower. It also offer a chance for a big group to stay in one room. Namsan offers good price compared to the other hotels on the area and very near public transport. It’s convenient for groups under budget.

United KingdomThe room plan was madness, never before did I have to use the toilet and shower located in the balcony! Mind you, there are also no other windows into the room apart from that balcony. So if anyone has just used the toilet, good like trying to get any fresh air in the room. On top of that, sound isolation from next room is absolutely nonexistent, with one thin wooden door between. Had a pretty bad sleep, unsurprisingly.
The location is easily accessible, within walking distance of Myeongdong and many transport links around it.

HungaryIt was no staff there, we booked a deluxe room which supposed to have kitchen and washing machine, but we got a small room without any of these. I texted the owner but they did not help at all. They said that we can change room next day but they think our room is the best.
It was in Myeongdong so It was close to everything. Metro station was 5 mins walk away. Emart is next to the apartment.

SingaporeBath towels were not provided when we checked in, only hair towels were provided. Had to request from the not so friendly lady at the front desk & she works till about 5pm everyday. So if we need anything, nobody to assist after 5pm. Extra trash bags for the dustbins were also not provided too. She only gave me one when I asked for it.

United States of AmericaIt’s definitely a dated building. It’s an older facility and it shows. Outside and common areas look newer than the inside of the rooms.
Stayed for 10 days, great value. The property was responsive and helpful on Kakao. There was no issues throughout the stay. It was clean and we never saw a single bug. This is not a chain hotel - think of it like an apartment building converted into a guesthouse. Everything worked and again I will say it was clean. Nice views of Namsan out the window and like 6 convenience stores within a 5 minute walk. Myeongdong also a 5 minute walk. I would stay again.

South KoreaThe check-in was a surprise; I did not know that I would be communicating via Ipad. This made security a serious concern. If you give me the security code on the Ipad, what would stop someone from scrolling up, reading my security code, and then entering my room?
I enjoyed the clean room and the comfy bed. The location was good.

GuamIt's hard to communicate with the host. You can only message him/her through an Ipad at the office. (Which takes time to reply especially if you have plans for the day) I had to tell him to communicate through booking.com messages. Other option would ve KAKAO talk--which most tourists won't have..also,, there are alot of mosquitos, so ready your bug spray.
The bed was comfortable. I got a good night sleep after a long day of walking. 24-hrs convenient store is just downstairs with a nice chill vibe. The cleaning lady, Ahjuma-as we called her, is nice. But she seemed so tired because I think she is the only cleaning person for the hotel. We even saw her at 10pm sweeping by the entrance door.. she does not speak English good, but she tries her best to communicate with a smile. The location is just a street across Myeongdong shopping street.. it's a bit of uphill walk tho, from the main street. So think twice if you have big luggages. Bottom line, we slept well for a good price.

CanadaThere was old style power plugs, we bought power adaptor to fix this but no luck. Contacted owner and they brought over one special universal plug to charge all our things. Towels are small. In a usual three pack with a face towel and medium towel and large towel we had only the medium. Room from pictures made it look bigger than it was. And it was about two blocks uphill from the hot spot area. Steep hill to.
The beds were very comfortable, soft not like regular hard Asian beds. Internet was good.

GermanyWe had the deluxe double room, according to the pictures our shower should have been separated but that was not the case and it was just a shower head on top of the sink. The bathroom had mold on the corners and the room had stains on the walls. We asked for an extra blanket via text (as their only way of communication) because the cover was too small and never got a reply.
The location was great. Right next to the shopping street and near a Michelin star restaurant.
