Koh Rong Sanloem as every other place in Cambodia has a big problem with plastic rubbish. On the parts of the beach that are not cleaned regularly you can see this very clearly.

For us Saracen bay resort was the best place to stay on the island. Our bungalow in the first row offered direct access to the beautiful beach that we almost had for ourselves as the island was not that crowded. The staff stepped out of their way to make our stay an amazing experience. Especially Hong was so helpful, always friendly and a perfect host. The beach was always clean although a lot of rubbish was washed ashore - not the hotels fault...The staff cleaned the beach every morning. The food in the restaurant was delicious - breakfast can be ordered a la carte and is not included. Along the beach are a lot of other options in case you'd like to try another restaurant.

Fantastic place - we absolutely loved our 6 night stay here. It has a beautiful stretch of beach and the rooms are huge, very comfortable and set in lovely gardens. Hong and all his team are incredibly professional and friendly and go out of their way to make your stay special. Excellent food and drinks as well at the in-house restaurant overlooking the bay. Very highly recommended.

The resort is in front of a magnificent white soft sandy beach. We stayed in room A05 which was 10 metres aprox. from the beach and the view was paradise. All the staff especially Mr. Hong were extremely helpful and kind. The resort is nice and quiet (we were there in September 2024) and the food in the restaurant was delicious and varied.

Location is perfect - near the boat station, in the middle of the Saracen beach. The apartment is really very comfortable, big and clean. Everything is well thought out and adapted for a good stay. The environment is very cozy, the staff is very friendly, the food is delicious.This is truly the perfect place to spend a quiet holiday

This is a really well down and comfortable beach resort. While it isn’t flashy, you get a large bungalow with a comfortable bed and a comfortable sofa on the balcony. The staff is friendly and efficient. The beach is beautiful and they allow you to be comfortable on a beach holiday.

A very nice and friendly welcome on our arrival as a small group. The Seaview bungalow was great. Very modern, comfortable and spacious. Located in a quiet area near one of the piers, so just a short walk to and from the speed ferry. Very nice selection of food in the restaurant also.

This place was an island paradise and a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Cambodia's cities. When we arrived from the ferry we were picked up for free on a small boat and taken to the far end of the beach to the accommodation. We were welcomed with cold drinks and then taken to our room. The hotel is located at the end of the beach on a private section where we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Room was large and cleaned daily. We also loved the hose outside the steps to the villa so we could wash our feet of the sand before going into the villa. There are plenty of sun loungers under trees and we were able to use the kayaks for free. We enjoyed swimming in the sea (no jellyfish) and lounging on the beach. Only a 5 minute walk to other hotels/restaurants further down the beach but there is also a restaurant at the hotel, we ate here a few times and food was fairly good and prices not too bad considering you're on an island.

Super location at the quiet end of this beautiful beach. My garden view room was excellent, large and with a super veranda with sofa and a direct view of the sea. Very comfortable for a 5 night stay. Housekeeping was particularly good.

Simply Paradise. Fantastic resort in a great location, very secluded with a peaceful beach area. The staff were all amazing, friendly, and very welcoming. They went out of their way to help with all our needs. Breakfast was really good we enjoyed the American menu, which was massive and only $6.50. This is a great place to stay and I suggest you book straight away.

Bed was hard and i have slept in many in Asia. It is at the far end of the beach about 15/ 20min walk to many restuarants. There is some light use torch or phone. An overhead fan on the porch would make the patio more useable. I was there in May very hot humid.

Quiet location next to pier for GTVC speedboat. PLenty loungers and shady areas. Breakfast choice good, no real difference to other restuarants. Fridge in room unlike other hotels on the beach. Lovely view and clean sandy beach. Great staff speak english really helpful.

Very good Service and friendly Staff. It seems to be, that they are happy with their Job and German owner. Very nice Bungalow design, a lot of space inside for a workout with Ac while having a amazing sea view. Delicious and good value price food 4- 8 $. Beautiful big private Beach area with coconut trees, which you can get a fresh one from. Free Kayak Free Pick up and drop off from the Pier. My partner had very bad neck pain and couldn't carry her backback from sunset Beach over the island, two people picked us up for free. Great ! Quiet area, in just 5 minutes you can have other restaurants and Party. I would definitely come back to this place and discover the island more from here ;)

Restaurant food choice was limited and quite western in style. Portions very small and more expensive than other restaurants on beach including drinks. Room cleaning meant arranging pillows and replacing drinks. Floors could have been mopped and surfaces wiped. Bed mattresses very hard. Air conditioner had no instructions and a printed guide in room would help. Also some signs to improve requests to cleaner in room would help. A make up room/do not disturb sign would help. See-through day time curtains would provide privacy into room. Cannot keep on air conditioner during day with only one key - bit mean considering you cannot stay out in 100F hear at height of day and room warms up quickly. Points above are all minor - the stay was nice

Staff were fantastic and kind and helped with everything. Speedboat drop off pier right on top of resort - 3 minute walk. Resorts sends a little boat to transfer your luggage for you - all well organised. Slower boat ferry a 10 min walk away but same arrangements made. Reception will call boat company to confirm your return pick up. Location on the beach was the most peaceful on the entire beach, water cleanest and calmest point with few boats. Rooms large. Restaurant quiet and very open . Most people walk 10 mins along beach front to other restaurants either independent or linked to a resort. Be careful with BBQ options - some resorts look after their seafood better before cooking than others. Hostels not so careful (bugs running over food on display). More popular places (eg Sara's) are cleaner and fast turnover means fresher food used. Food prices have gone up. Dish $7, BBQ $10-18, Beer 2, coffee $3, allow $ 25-30 with one drink for dinner for 2 people. 3x a week, fire thrower show moves along beach Infront of dining for 15 mins. Very easy to pick up a 1hr boat trip $10 to swim with glowing plankton. At end of season waterfall dried up and dirty (don't bother), walk to lazy beach/sunset beach (40 min) ok but nothing their, lots of plastic - Saracen Bay better.

The beds are really big, but for me, a little bit on the hard side. Also missing a full length mirror. Otherwise, all was top notch in every way!

Did not have breakfast included, but the location is at the end of the beach, very peaceful and with beautiful sandy stretch that is not crowded and with plenty of space. The room exceeded by far my expectations, was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Big bathroom and plenty of deskspace for those who need to combine work and pleasure. Lovely outdoor terrace with nice furniture and protected under roof. Very lush and green around, which gives some privacy also outside. Would definitely stay here again!

I read in earlier reviews that it was the best location on the beach, and the best bit of beach in the bay and I absolutely agree with both. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Relaxed, beautiful, good food (and well priced!) - everything I hoped it would be :)

The shower was hopeless as the water pressure was so low.

Fantastic location and the far end of the bay which meant the beach was quiet. The room was huge. The bathroom was massive too. The ability to walk straight out onto the beach was amazing. Outdoor seating area was a bonus.
