Some windows had broken lockers, and it was impossible to lock them permanently, which did not gave me feeling of security. Broken lockers in windows were present in both rooms i was staying in.

For Kenyan conditions, that hotel was ok. It was good location, spacious size, and very interesting construction that keped building cool even in a hot weather. Of course it was not such a stander you would expect in Europe, but for Kenyan conditions it was very good. First room i did get had weird smell in the bathroom, and i did not like it. Girl in reception helped me (her name was Lynda) and after maybe one hour of waiting in a room, i was given new one that was great. They did allow me to check in before check in time, and i felt that stuff is really looking after me. Manager was nice and friendly to, once he came to get me to my next room, and helped me with the luggage. If i will return to Kenya, i will stay here again.

The whole hotel is a bit outdated and oldish and there is no restaurant inside. (Though there are several restaurants around and you can bring your own food inside (you can even cook as the kitchen is equipped), so it was not a big issue.) Our room was a bit noisy (from the street), and hot water needs a longer time to get, so it is worth switching on the heater as soon as you arrive. Many of the lights/switches and sockets are not working.

We were upgraded for free to a bigger room, which was a huge (very spacious) one-bedroom flat with an equipped kitchen. The staff at the reception was nice and helpful. Overall, our stay was okay, but nothing special. You can find other hotels at a better price-quality ratio in the neighborhood.

I booked and paid for deluxe room but was given a standard room. I am waiting for a refund. Some lights in the room didn't work, so the room was not lighted enough.

Recommendations: Rework the kitchen. Kitchen fittings are very old, I believe they have achieved return on investment. The bed and bedroom wardrobe in the long run should be replaced. Keep the cleanliness regime in check.

The hotel is in reasonable maintenance level, but it's old age is clear.

The place is in town accessible to major shopping center. The rooms are big and it is set up like a bnb.You can cook for your self as rooms are stocked with a fridge, microwave, fully fledged cooker and all the kitchen utensils

The hotel building itself is dated and needs some basic improvements or updates such as new hot water tanks, some bathroom updates, and in-general some TLC.

The hotel is centrally located where there are plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from as well as an artisan marker practically out the front door. There's a nice breakfast place just outside of the entrance to the hotel that served great coffee, breakfasts and other meals. The staff was very good and helpful in all cases. I left my hat and they kept it until I returned 2 weeks later. The room was a suite that had tons of space and a balcony off of the living room.

Small sorrow: I couldn't come into my appartment twice because the key was not programmed the right way.

Upgrade to bigger appartment. And housekeeper Jozef. He cleaned whole appartment every day very well and was very helpful.
