Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

ItalyThe room did not have a shower, so when you arrive all sweaty from walking around town there's no way to a quick clean up.
This is a nice little hotel, next to Nara Park and the main shopping district. The room is traditional Japanese style with rollout beds and pretty much no furnishing. It has a nice little 2 or 3 people spa which you can use privately but only on your booked time span of 1 hour in the evening. It is public at other hours.

Location was superb! Close to the MRT and nice places to eat. Housekeeping is really good in cleaning our room! Didn't try the spa, but should be amazing as well. Free pajamas! :)

AustraliaThe mattress beds were thin, I used two which was much better. A single mattress was very uncomfortable. I wasn't able to use the onsen due to my tattoos. Even a couple was not okay unless they could be covered with a bandaid (mmm bandaids floating in the onsen! Yuck) A lot of onsens are now tattoo accepting, but not this one. I do have a lot of tattoos (I'm a female who works as a tattooist). Pjs were not sized for anyone over a Small (freesize) Nice of them to offer them though. It was as nice as expected.
The reception were lovely and helpful. The daily breakfast was very yummy. The area was safe and convenient. The bath was nice. Everyone was pleasant and helpful.

JapanThe bedding arrangements were not traditional futon, but rather foam mattresses that did not provide enough support for my back. The foam sofa was also not very comfortable.
The breakfast bento box was very good, if a little modest in size. The location was good for access to and from Itami Airport, and for visiting Arashiyama and the castle Nijoujo. Good large communal bathing facilities.
