Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South Koreain-house facilities were out of fashion, but not of an issue while staying. wifi connection not satisfactory, which needs maintenance on priority.
location: Enjoyed the central Nagoya while staying at the hotel located in a quiet area. close to Sakae station, but not crowded price attractiveness: lowest-rate accomodation cost featured among Sakae area hotels. courtesy: Consierge staffs were all kind and well-mannered to me. Particularly, a male staff for night time is literally Omotenashi with his smiley face when facing me at the consierge. also pleased to have been serviced by one of them speaking my language: Korean - Since 2016 when this hotel had its previous brand name, I have stayed here on every Nagoya visit as a single guest. Hope the hotel keeps its affordable rate as much as it can :)

JapanBathroom was small and the lamps in the room werent so bright.
Nice room and in the center of the city. It was easy to walk to and find. Small room, but perfect for someone travelling and just needs a place to sleep. Desk worker was very kind and helped to recommend us somewhere to eat dinner.

PhilippinesI couldn't figure out how to use the airconditioner. The temperature outside was a bit chilly so I wasn't sure if it was on fan mode or on heater mode.
It was a very comfortable stay. There was unlimited coffee on the first floor along with free toiletries and towels. Staff are easy to talk to. They have a translator device if you can't communicate in Japanese. Location was very ideal and near tourist spots and shopping areas. There's a convenience store beside it and a restaurant as well.

New ZealandWeird pillows with firm strip that is probably meant to keep the pillow on one place while you sleep. Probably ok for those people who sleeps on their back. But terrible thing for people like me who sleeps face down. I guess they might have some normal ones if you ask. but unfortunately I discovered that at about midnight.
Nice hotel right in the city centre for a reasonable price.

South Korea- room cleaning quality was unsatisfactory with some stains on blankets, but the room fee made up for it -the room key must be deposited to the front desk when not in the room, which was somewhat bothering
-super cheap/the lowest room rate: nothing beats it -located away from noisy and night-bright Sakae area while accessible to Sakae station -bed and pillow conditions good for resting and sleeping -staffs overall kind

JapanIt's very old and on the photos the hotel looks good. Also, I live in Japan but I was asked to show my zairyu card to make a copy. Japanese laws require you to take a copy of foreign passports of tourists, but not foreign nationals living in Japan. This is the reason I didn't like the stay. If the person says they live in Japan, you don't request their zairyu card. Please check Japanese laws
I'm confused. Because photos here do not represent what you will see. However, the attitude of the staff and the effort to keep it clean is great. Location is good. Rooms are okay.

AustraliaWhen I arrived to check-in after 15:00, the room wasn't ready.
It was quite close to public transport and there were a lot of good restaurants in the area. There was also a washing machine room, and the room was relatively comfortable. The staff were also quite nice.

JapanOld building with some old furnitures but seems that they tried to replace every piece as possible with a new one (bed, lights, wallpaper, tv etc...) and keep all very clean, so if you don't care about some old bathtub or desk you'll find this place very comfortable and cheap for its position and services. I especially liked the big window in the room and the big bed.
