This was honestly such a hidden gem with an amazing view. A bit far from the station but that really wasn’t an issue as the hosts offer pick up and drop off from the station (she even helped sort out lockers and drove us to a nearby temple as it was along her way , thanks!). The apartment we stayed in was newly constructed and was impeccably clean. The view was to die for, and it was at an affordable price point. Breakfast that we paid extra for the next morning was also really delicious. Sad to give this secret up , but this truly was an amazing place that deserves the praise !

It is further away from downtown Kawaguchi-ko than most other ryokans, and will require a vehicle to get to. We drove, but the host does drive guests to and from Kawaguchi-ko Station, provided you give them a call.

The highlights of our stay were the meals, onsen, and value for money. We originally only requested breakfast, as the host, in their initial message, said that dinners were only available on the weekend. However, they were more than happy to make an exception and we got to enjoy dinner as well! Both meals were kaiseki-style, uniquely with a more homey quality compared to more upscale ryokans with juices, teas, coffes, and more on the side for no additional cost. Our hosts were very courteous and attentive to our needs. They took the time to explain all the features of our very spacious, tatami-style rooms, as well as all the dishes in our meals. The onsens were very relaxing and private to individual parties. Since we were the only guests that night, we were able to go multiple times and stay as long as wanted. Our rooms were spacious with tatami mats and a decent view of Mt. Fuji, which we unfortunately missed due to the weather. Overall, our per-person all-in cost was equivalent to what we would've paid for one night in a small hotel room in Tokyo - excellent value for money. Do not skip this place! It might be further away from downtown Kawaguchi-ko, but the hospitality, food, serenity, and value cannot be matched anywhere else in the area.

The ryokan was peaceful and very clean. We could not have asked for a better view of Mt. Fuji from our room. The traditional Japanese breakfast served was very delicious. The owner was kind and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She even offered to help us get to the bus station which was very nice!

The breakfast was great, you have options for western and traditional breakfast. You can use the onsen privately for you and your family. The view is outstanding! Overall experience was pretty memorable, it was a highlight on my 25day trip.

This accommodation was incredible. The photos do not do it justice. It is a great place to stay if you are hoping to have a more traditional experience at Mount Fuji. Bathrooms were clean, beds were comfy, the owners were friendly. View of the mountain were incredible from the room.

I truly had the best time there

The house is beautiful, the room was big and facilitated, and everything was sparkling clean. The host lady was the sweetest and helpful (helped me with luggage transport and drove me to the train station!), the meals were rich and unique, and the views are exceptional (when the sky affords it). The hot springs were mind blowing experience for me too.

I liked everything. We loved the Ryokan design, the view of Fuji by the window, the onsen is great too, and Im thankful to the hospitality of the owners. The meals are also special. This sweet little inn was one of our best stays in Japan. We loved the onsen (hot spring bath), the amazing views on mount Fuji, the stillness and the lovely hospitality. The room was huge and well equipped. The japanese breakfast was very nice too.

The most lovely host ever, Amano-san really makes you feel welcome. If you stay here you should get dinner and breakfast the food is so good. The futon is very comfortable and cozy. The Mt Fuji view is spectacular. The onsen was very warm and nice. The ambient was nice.

Traditional Japanese home with a possibility to use onsen privately. The hosts treated us with so much care n warmth and pampered us with the lovely home cooked food. We were speechless. I have never experienced this level of hosting anywhere in the world and the traditional Japanese food was to die for. I would definitely visit again.

If you come by foot from the bus station it can be a bit far but that’s not very a negative point, just good to know in advance.

The host is lovely as her ryokan. The room is very spacious, with a beautiful view on Fuji San, futons are very good. Onsens are nice. The breakfast’s delicious.

Phenomenal help and resilience from the landlady. She was able to help me with the shipping of my bike, which turned out to be a 45-min endeavour, battling through 3 providers. I could NEVER do it without her help. Excellent food, an amazing, quiet and warm room with a view. Already referred it to a bunch of friends. I'd definitely want to come back!
