Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FranceSome equipment are out of date like there is no electric kettle and the bed can get really hot at night due to air not circulating well enough.
Probably the best hostel to meet people especially if you don’t sleeping in the same room as other people, it is also quite clean and the staff is a very strong point. I wholeheartedly recommend it if you’re looking for a place to call home in tokyo.

JapanStorage space for bags could be a bit better but it’s tight space all around. If you have a really big suitcase or multiple bags, you may want to consider an extra locker somewhere.
Great location, great people from around the world to chat with, great staff and friendly owner. Would stay again and plan on it next time I travel back to Japan.

It feels like a cozy, human experience compared to more sterile (and unclean) capsule hotels. Don't be scared by the pictures, I had a perfect stay as someone who prefers to stay quietly on my own most of the time. Everyone was respectful. Will definitely go back if I can ! MongoliaSome guests who don't respect others by making noise in the mornings. Just one sink placed in the men's bathroom on second floor. It would be nice if the sink in the men's bathroom was bigger and double, as in the some nights it was difficult to use the small sink in the bathroom to prevent making noise in the dorm.

FranceIt’s far from the center but i didn’t mind it, you can basically go anywhere in tokyo in less or about an hour of subway and the neighborhood is really nice and not that far from Ueno
The house is really convenient, Makoto san and the staff are really nice and will help you as much as they can! + people in the guesthouse are usually really nice too! you’ll definitely make friends if you’re traveling alone ! everything is clean and organized, you can really feel a sense of home if you can live in community and stay a little more than a few days

Our arrival at this establishment was a great surprise. Makoto and Guillaume immediately put us at ease. We had this feeling of being part of a team. Parties are organized and no one is left out. Despite the fact that wa spoke neither English nor Japanise Makoto did everything possible to communicate with us. Guillaume has very good places to go out. United KingdomA friendly and welcoming hostel in a quiet neighborhood, yet a short walk to the station and nice places to eat. I was lucky to be here for the Sakura blooming and we had a little party in a local park organised by the host. Beds are really comfortable and the place is very clean and tidy. Great host, great company, perfect if you want a more relaxed stay. If I come to Tokyo again I'll definitely book this place.

GermanyVery strict rules, mostly very reasonable though. The luggage is kept at the entry and there is not much space there. Also half of the bed blinds are in a light color so don't really darken the light.
Friendly atmosphere, great host that helps you out if you have questions and also has some fun with the guests. Well equipped kitchen and shops as well as restaurants nearby.
