United KingdomThough very clean, the interior could do with a refurb. In our dreams, the hotel would have a big onsen bath on the top floor. I couldn't complain about anything else.
It is extremely close to Shizuoka station. The breakfast buffet was very nice. Staff were very professional. Rooms were a good size and great views over the city. We had dinner at the Japanese restaurant and the restaurant was beautiful and the meal was exceptional.

United KingdomEating outside the hotel does have its problems IF you are a group of 5 or more. Very few places to eat with a group. The Hotel restaurant doesn't open very late and doesn't allow walk-ins, even from residents.
The Hotel is beautiful, staff are excellent. Its a very clean hotel and very well maintained. Its a great location and has many great restaurants locally and right over the road from the train station. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of food on offer, it gets busy quickly, so getting there early is advised.

Arriving at the hotel was quite a surprise as we did not expect something quite as grand as it was. The walk from the station is only about 150mt. The rooms are very large for a standard Japanese twin room with fabulous views over the city scape. There are also windows that you can see Mt.Fuji. The area around the station has plenty of eateries, shopping and is not far from touristy sites. Would stay here again.

United StatesThere was a man sleeping in the entry of the elevator on the 22nd floor. Obviously he was able to access the hotel and elevator without a room key. This is an alarming lack of security.
