We wanted traditional accommodations, we had this experience, loved the onsite onsen and bar, close by the train station and staff were very friendly and helpful and let us store luggage before and after our stay

Friendly staff who helped us to leave our luggage earlier and also booked the Onsen for the available slot. Great location near Gora station - leaving the luggage gave us flexibility to travel with our backpack only for the rest of the day. The pantry was small, clean and well maintained where you can warm your food and enjoy the meal with your family. Nice collection of drinks and space to mingle with other tourist. The private Onsen gives you flexibility to manage your slot and if you can't book it then you can also use the other Onsen on first come first serve basis.

Wish we could had stayed a few nights more.

We slept over one night on the way from Tokyo to Kyoto and it was really worth it. The house is very close to the train station and easily accessible. The staff were kind and helpful. The onsen was great and we had a nice breakfast just at the corner.

We loved the accommodation, family of 4 sharing a room. Felt very authentic. Staff were lovely. Nice bar area, limited menu but tasty, good choice for drinks. They offered a natural onset which we used and enjoyed. Location was good, just a few minutes walk from the station. Shared kitchen and bathroom facilities, but clean and private. Recommended after a stay in Tokyo. Get the Hakone Freepass and this is an ideal start for the railway, ropeway and pirate ship cruise.

The kitchen area was pretty small so if you're wanting to cook, it may not be as easy. The walls are very thin, you can hear everything, but they give earplugs so you're able to sleep.

Hakone tent is so cozy! Absolutely loved staying here. And the private onsens were so nice. I wish we had stayed longer, but we only had one night in Hakone. The beds were comfy, the facilities were clean and the staff was really helpful. Only a 5-10 minute walk from the station.

Had the apartment. Great space and quiet. Plenty of room for family of 5. Lovely more traditional room. Futon beds on tatami mats, firm! Bar was great. Good food and space.

The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious enough for 1 person. Stone bath all for yourself for 40 mins was awesome, be prepared for a little climb to get there.

Creaking floorboards when guests walk around. Just use earplugs (provided) if you are light sleeper.

wished there was more than just 2 shower stalls and the walls are so paper thin. i sleep with earplugs regularly and could still hear people moving around.

As per their description, noise carries in the building, but the other guests were very considerate.

Great location, and an easy place to be. Simple and fair reservation system for the onsen bath, and a separate bath available on a first come, first served basis. Nice pizza, comfortable futons, well-equipped shared kitchen.

The in-house private onsen. Very close to the Gora station. They give discounts for their cafe which is not on the property but barely 2 minutes walk.

One of the most wonderful places we stayed at in Japan. Close to the bus and train station, Beautifully designed building, simple, traditional, comfortable, clean. The staff was amazing! They were so nice and helpful. The onsen was a great bonus, clean, private and very special. The restaurant is cosy and really nice to lay back and chill and the food is really good! Everything was perfect!

I loved it!! The location is so convenient, just 2 mins walk from the station. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. If you're going to Hakone don't think just book this place. I really enjoyed the in house onsen, cherry on the cake!!

Hakone Tent is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Gora station and is close to restaurants/cafes and bars in the area. The room was clean and large and being able to book a private onsen was the perfect relaxing escape after a week in Tokyo. The staff were great and the stay was great value for money!
