The bathroom was very small, especially the sink. The room is bright and blinds do not cover the light sufficiently in the morning.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area, at a walking distance from Nara JR station. The owner was very nice and friendly, the room was clean and with traditional Tatami style bed, which was very comfortable. The bathroom was small, but also very clean and fully equipped. The guesthouse offers shared spaces with kitchenette, table-games, comics and video-games. Wi-Fi and AC in the room were both working well. We appreciated that they have let us leave the luggage before check-in.

The room is small, would be *really* tight for 2 people. The internet slows a lot if a couple of other people are using it. The shower is teeny tiny. Wash basin so small it was hard to brush teeth.

It did the job. It has a bed, a shower and a toilet. It was a quiet neighborhood. Quite easy to find, short distance from train station. Self check in was straight forward. The communal kitchen was well equipped incl fridge and microwave. Good price.

The style of the room was modern, relaxing with a traditional Japanese feel! About a 4 minute walk away we ate the most delicious ramen before taking a 20 minute stroll in to the town. The location was perfect. The following day we went to visit the famous nara deers and too our surprise there were a couple 30 seconds away from the accommodation. The deer park it's self is only a short 20 minute walk away. The host was warming and welcoming. The accommodation also offered a small communal kitchen which included a microwave, kettle, fridge and mini hob.

The location is wonderful, close to the train station, the shopping district, and Nara's famous deer park. The room was exactly as advertised, and the staff was friendly and courteous. Guesthouse Nara Komachi was truly our home away from home as we also come from a town famous for deer. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing really to dislike. A minor point but the bathroom sink was extremely small making it difficult even to brush your teeth but perhaps the sinks are small in Japanese style rooms.

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and we found them very friendly. We booked the Japanese style room and really liked it. We found it to be a good size compared to other places we had stayed and actually found the bed to be more comfortable than the Western style beds. The location was great as it was near to the JR station and also a large supermarket. We found the use of the well equipped kitchen to be a great help too Overall we enjoyed our stay and found it good value for money.

I would have liked a western bed, but I did choose this! I just did not anticipate the firmness of the futon.

This is a reasonably priced ryokan providing a traditional room with private bathroom, and a public space that offers a kitchenette and eating counter. If you were traveling with a group you could gather in the entry room and have a meal and conversation. I am elderly and found the futon pretty uncomfortable, and my room did not have a chair, though my friend's did. If I were younger I would have found this place sufficiently comfortable. it is reasonably close to the JR station, less so from the other station.

In the evening I could hear karaoke next door, but I had the room that was on the end so others might not have heard this. I was lucky enough to have a room to myself so I'm not sure how others may feel about the shower and bathroom being in the room and only divided by a door and curtain.

The room was very clean and had a shower in the room. Located very close to attractions and food. You can drop off bags even though check in is not until later.

We wanted to rent the bicycles they had available at our stay and when we asked to use it for the afternoon, we were told someone else was using it. However, the bikes just stood there all day without being used and we had to walk all the way into town(which is quite a walk).

The room was cozy, neat and tidy. The bed was comfortable too.

The lady who checked us in was lovely, she allowed us to leave our luggage the next day so we could explore and she even rented us bikes for 500 yen each for the day. Bargain! Thank you. The room was comfortable and I had an excellent sleep.
