Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe reception closes at 1am, which means if you plan on stying out longer, don't stay here, you wont come in. Had a lot of hair in the bathroom and long hair on my bed.
Very close to the station. The room was bigger than usual japanese hotels. I could see Fuji from my room.

United StatesThe hotel is very dated. While the room was clean, it leaked the cigarette smell.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A convenient location from the train station. The rooftop beer garden has a potential.

PolandAged hotel. It should definitely get refurbished. Quite dirty inside. Lots of dust in the laundry room.
Location very close to Fuji station (but not Shin-Fuji station where the shinkansen of the Tokaido-Sanyo line stops!). Good value for money. Large, spacious room. Laundry available upstairs.

Hong KongThe photos in the website definitely either are old photos or has been modified. The facility looks way older in reality. We tried to ask the hotel twice in booking.com what time they served dinner. No response from hotel. I think no one checks their inbox. The dinner they included is a simple bento box. Wasn't what I was expected. But for this price included a meal I think is good value. As the bento meal box included a variety of food. The hallway is full of smoking cigarettes smell. But luckily the room doesn't. The bathroom is very small. And very very worn off. We had three person so decided to drove to nearby public bath for shower instead.
The room is bigger

AustraliaBathroom size but that's a Japanese thing and as a 6'3 Westerner I need to learn to deal with it 😂
The hotel was very close to the respective train stations, and you can get a fairly unobstructed view of both the sunrise and Mt. Fuji from the roof (just ask permission first). Rooms were extremely spacious, comfortable, and nice city views. Quiet as well!

United StatesThe bathroom in the room I stayed at did not seem to have a fan, so if you want to dry it out or air it out after a shower or other activity, you can only open the door and hope there's enough air flow. The dryer for the hotel also takes quite some time to effectively dry your clothes, so you might be better of using some of the coat hangers the hotel provides and hanging up your clothes to air dry around the room.
The Fuji Green Hotel is a good pick for people looking to explore around the base of Mount Fuji. The hotel is across the street from Fuji station, so it is extremely easy to access for travelers, and there is a small-wheel bicycle visitors can borrow for free if they want to go further than walking distance. The room I stayed in was larger than I was expecting it to be, and had a nice view of the surrounding city. It probably has a good view of Mount Fuji as well, though I stayed during rainy and cloudy weather, so I cannot confirm it myself.

JapanAs someone said that facility is old, it’s true but comparing with price, it’s quite fair.
Location was excellent just next to Fuji station and convenience store is close enough. What I loved was a family bath I soaked myself in after long day and got relaxed so much.
