Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe rooms are a little old now and could do with a touch up, but on the whole, very comfortable.
Location was good in a quiet area, though a little away from attractions. Subway station very close though, so easy to get to most places. Nice cafe across the river if you don't have the hotel breakfast, and fish market 5 mins walk. Really good onsen facilities, I used every night, and loved the free ice-cream etc. Staff were helpful and polite but English was limited to basics and Google.

IrelandI enjoyed my stay at this hotel in a relatively quiet area of Tokyo. The hot baths were excellent and open all night. The breakfast was very good with good variety and choice. The double room was on the small side but nonetheless provided all the required facilities. The staff were helpful. The metro and JR stations were within easy walking distance. The area around the hotel was quiet with a supermarket close-by and some small cafes. Some nice walks to take nearby with the river and various bridges and small streets. Overall the price, while not cheap, was good value for the money spent. A recommended hotel to stay.

AustraliaLack of a proper desk. Tiny room but that's typical of most Japanese hotels. No closet and limited number of coat hangers for your clothes.
Short walking distance from nearest train statio, Hatchōbori Station. Onsen was excellent with also a sauna and cold plunge pool. Free ramen, ice-cream bars and probiotic drinks as per the norm with other Dormy Inn hotels.

Perfect Hotel even for a longer stay in Tokyo. Only about 15 Min. From Tokyo Station by Subway ( there is also a free Hotel-Shuttle), but in a quiet and nice neighbourhood near the bay. Rooms were of comfortable size even with two suitcases. We really loved the onsen+sauna as well as the breakfast. There are multiple convenient little extras for free - like a probiotic drink in the morning and ice cream and half ramen in the later evening.

Costa RicaThe size of the Room, WC and Shower. I didn't expect that the room could be so small. We had 6 luggages and we barely fit. We asked for a bigger room but the hotel is fully booked.
Everything except the size of the room, WC and shower. The bed was super comfortable, the onsite spa is a very nice touch. Free Ramen from 9:30 PM, free ice cream and probiotic drink. Most of all the staff, they were very helpful.

United States of AmericaRooms were small, but we had one bag and backpack each. Once we got used to it, it was fine.
Loved the hot spring, used it all 4 nights of my stay. So relaxing. Easy to follow directions of sign on the wall in the entrance to the locker room. Make sure to shower before and after soaking. Liked that an ice cream treat was provided for after the hot spring. Breakfast was great. Loved sashimi, small bowls of various Japanese foods and the "shrimp cutlet". Room was quiet, nice and dark for sleeping. Loved the Toto washlet. If you have never used one, try it, you'll like it. Just Google Toto washlet instructions. Fairly easy to understand how to use it once you understand the pictures.
