Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

It was very comfortable and clean. Also nice to experience staying at a traditional house. The house is located very close to the train station which was very convenient to move to Uji and Osaka; as well as near a bus station to main attractions within Kyoto. The host was very kind and left us a small welcome gift with some local tea bags. 💛

AustraliaLocation was ideal! Right next to bakurocho station so If coming from Narita it is convenient. The second half of our trip would need to take a bullet train so the location of the hotel is perfect because it is minutes from Tokyo station. For the price of the hotel, it so worth every penny because it is very clean and has free breakfast every day! There is also a cafe that is accessible. Would use the hotel again when I come back to japan!

The location is good - it is close to a subway station, but the closest exit does NOT have a elevator, so it is a bit tough when you have large luggeage. The most satisfied thing is the price - it is cheap when you booked in adavance.

AustraliaBakurochu Station entrance/exit is right next to the hotel 👍, BUT, there are 55 steps to negotiate with luggage! 😓 Nb. Higashi-Nihonbashi Station is an easy 5/6 minute, flat walk away with an elevator AND you turn left from there & you’re a close walk to Platform 2 with trains to Narita Airport, all terminals. 👏 So e fresh fruit, instead of tinned fruit would be good and this was the on,y hotel in our 5.5 week stay in Japan that didn’t have fresh (cherry) tomatoes.
The staff were lovely, our room was clean, breakfast was good (but see below) and It was close to Asakusa, Senso-ji Temple, short train ride to the Skytree. Also, we found it easy to access anywhere, in Tokyo, through either train station (see next comments). 7-11 is next door, too. 👏 Also, very close to Kitchenware District and Ameyoko Street Markets start from Ueno Station - a walk (not with luggage) or train ride from hotel & Ueno Station has JR & Shinkansen lines.

CanadaThere was one lady on the desk that I’ve encountered there that stood out when I tried consulted her with questions on options to extend my stay for another day. She seems like she wasn’t care for my business by her reply to my inquiry. I’m happy to take my family to another hotel near by instead. I thank her anyway for her time talking to me.
The beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. The room and bathroom was clean. Our beds were made and new bath towels were provided daily. The breakfast and staffs who manage the food were kind looking after everyone in the morning. Overall our family enjoyed our stay and will stay there again in the future visit. Thank you!
