Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWifi is extremely slow, not sufficient for even loading youtube. Some would also say the breakfast is lacking - there are only toast served. Also rooms are very dark not ideal for working or reading.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are quite literally spotless, equipped with everything one would need for a simple stay. The lounge is perfect if you want to get some quick work done. Air conditioning is strong and good, there are coin laundry available on site.

AustraliaEverything was ok. If your a couple I’d definitely say get the larger room but if your a single the small room is ok!
Unbeatable location right next to Asakusa station, amazing skytree rooms, good value for money and very clean and comfortable. The Japenese style room feels very comfortable and nice . Perfect end to a holiday . Busy Tokyo and safe realx safe haven at the end of the day right by the skytree !

United StatesPrice is a little high considering what you get. Albeit the rooms are probably cleaner and more privately spacious I’d compare this place to a “fancy hostel”
Great location, Comfy and clean and good for basic quarters to rest and wash up in. No frills, basic amenities but great little extras like robes that are nice (and u can purchase a beautiful one for about 4,000 yen, great souvenir). Super close to sensoji temple, shopping, transit, right next door to shops, food. Staff is not overly enthusiastic but they are helpful. Check out process was easy.

AustraliaIt is a fairly basic hotel. The room had a very low desk and no other furniture. It has plenty of room to have two cases on the floor and be able to open them, but we would have preferred to have a chair or luggage holder. There were no wardrobes or drawers. The bed was low (usual for Japanese, I believe). There was only one pillow each, and the filling was uncomfortable. There was a quilt but no separate sheet. The upstairs lounge area is advertised as a rooftop lounge, but you can't access outside, and there is only a vending machine with beer in, and some appliances that I think were a tabletop oven and microwave. Breakfast, as stated, is just white bread (toasters available) and jam, and machine coffee, plus various teas.
Good location for exploring Asakusa area. We stayed two days. We were able to easily walk to the Skytree (around 20 minutes), the river cruise pier and the Sensoji temple (around 10 minutes). Public transport was very close (buses and trains) and there were plenty of restaurants and food shops close by. Our deluxe double room was bigger than I expected and the air-conditioning was very effective. The bathroom was good. The room was quiet.

GermanyThe room was a bit small for 3 adults and was lacking closet or hanging space for the clothes.
We liked the location so close to the Metro and Asakusa Shrine! Very safe neighborhood with lots of restaurants and 24/7 convenience stores. The view from the breakfast room on the 9 the floor over the river and the sky tree was great! Very friendly and helpful staff 24/7. It was modern, clean and had everything a tired traveler might need.

SwitzerlandIt seems normal around here, but the rooms are quite snug. In my case, the walls were about 20cm from the bed on either side, and the I kept bumping into stuff in the bathroom cubicle. Nothing majorly annoying, but worth considering a room upgrade if you like or need more space (eg. if you don't travel alone).
Excellent location if you prefer a quieter spot but want great access to transportation. It's close to the river, inviting for a morning stroll or jog, and only about 5 minutes walk from the touristy streets. I liked that the floor is tatami, and that the overall feel in the hotel was quiet and easy - perfect for slightly introverted solo travelers. I arrived way before check-in time and leaving my luggage to go out and explore was absolutely breezy. Added bonus is free coffee and toast to start the day with a bit of energy.
