“I thought the location was great. 10 minute walk from the station, and right next to an outlet mall as well as a shopping mall. The historical distance was about a 15 minute walk as well. The apartment was clean, with small cute amenities and decorations that let us really experience staying in a standard, small Japanese apartment. There was a washer/dryer, which was convenient to wash our clothes.”
“This place is very nice. More like a little apartment than a room at an inn. There’s only one guest room in this inn but it is made up of a large bedroom, a large lounge room area overlooking the historic street, a small landing area at the top of the stairs and a wash basin room all upstairs. Downstairs is the toilet, bathroom and Japanese tub/wash room. Stairs are a bit tricky if you are tall so watch your head. Architecture is very traditional and beautifully done. Place is nicely appointed in minamalist style with local craft furniture and small items. Very quiet and in great location. Staff were very helpful with perfect English.”
“This property is exceptional. Sitting on the low sofa in this historical building, looking through the windows at the boats drifting along the canal whilst drinking sake was a highlight of our trip. It was hard to leave.”
“Lovely setting very welcoming helpful staff to our party of 6 on arrival and departure.
Rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet with toiletries supplied.
Lovely shops around with nice selection of gifts to buy. Historic building well preserved .
Restaurant available but we didn't eat in the Ivy.
Taxis were ordered for leaving no problem and the staff took our cases out and to them .
Great option as a stay out from the typical big cities of Japan.”
“Beautiful home in a great location in lovely Kurashiki”
“Amazing stay”
