“Location was good and not too far to walk without luggage. Took the shuttle bus when we needed to.
Local Wine tasting festival over the weekend was a bonus!”
“Definitely recommend lake Shoji and this hotel, a lot less crowded than other touristic spots around Mt Fuji. Amazing views on the mountain, great and spacious bedrooms that allow for insanely beautiful vistas in the morning, at sunset etc... Super helpful staff, great meal plans and options, beautiful onsen. We had a great time, truly”
“Clean, comfy and fresh hostel!
Beds were comfy, showers were clean and had everything that you could need, movie night every night, and a games room down stairs with an old Nintendo and heaps of games! (Loved playing old Mario kart, super fun experience) 🩷
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, super helpful!
Location you’ll either love it or hate it, I personally loved it, it was away from the touristy parts, got to see the other side of Mt Fuji and had a beautiful clear view, and only a 2 minute walk from the hostel! There is no shops or restaurants around open after 6pm, so just remember to bring some food or snacks, however the staff do offer dinner, and I must say, I had one of the most delicious carbonaras I’ve eaten here!! 😍 and the perfect French Fries!
Definitely recommend to any travellers wanting a warm and home feeling stay! ✨”
“Kind staff. The hotel is a little old but well kept and is clean. Love that you can rent bicycles. They also gave us a lift to the train station. Thanks a lot!”
“The view was mind blowing! Had so much luck with the weather. The lodge was amazing referring to hospitality, comfort, space and cleanliness. The hosts / staff were so courteous. Just five minutes by foot from the lodge you can find the Haha-no-Shirataki Waterfall. Beautiful and quiet. Perfect for chilling. Next time I will be there through winter time.”
“Rakuyu was a wonderful experience for us. One can't speak highly enough of the amazing views seen from the lobby and the rooms facing the lake. We thought it was absolutely the highlight of our stay. The staff was kind and it is very easy to reach the Kawaguchiko Station back and forth via a WhatsApp call. We also booked the private Onsen (for couples)which was an additional fee as the regular Onsen are seperated (male and female apart) and you can't enjoy them with a spouse. The view from the private Onsen are beautiful but the water were too warm for our liking so if you plan on taking the private Onsen be prepared to notify the staff if the water exceeds the proper temperature so you can fully enjoy the experience.”
