Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBe sure to have cash on hand to pay for your booking, as that the ATM in the visitors center is unreliable as a source of money. However, this is not due to any fault of the camp or its stewards.
Every part of the experience at Joy of Life camp is wonderful. Eid and the rest of the camp staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating to guests as a baseline. I would recommend this camp to anyone.

United KingdomI felt a bit rushed in the morning as we had to vacate the tent at 9 o'clock - directly after breakfast. I didn't have enough time to get ready.
The luxury tent (cabin) with private bathroom was very comfortable, and had an exceptional view to the mountains. the dinner and breakfast were both really good.

For me its the 5th time in wadi rum and the first time in this camp and its by far my favorite one! It‘s not far away from the village and it’s a very calm and quiet camp. It’s also the first camp i went to with wifi. The employees spoke english and there were very friendly and ready to help you with anything. The dinner and breakfast were fresh and delicious, it’s a jordanian dish which they cook in the dessert. We also booked a Jeep-tour with sand-boarding and camel riding for a very good price, which was awesome, we saw a lot of different and beautiful spots and the tour guide gave us all the interesting facts about the places.

HungaryThis is a very nice place with very nice place! Had really grat conversations at the camp, and on the Jeep tour that we went on. Salem was our tour guide, great guy with amazing humour. It has been an unforgettable experince! The food was also great; traditional and very delicious. I really loved their tea! If you want something you just tell them and they make it happen. They can do everything. Just the most incredible hospitality I have ever experienced in my life!

NetherlandsThat it was not the camp webooked I liked the lication of Camp for holiday better.
Although we booked Bedouine camp for Holiday (which has a great setting) they put us in the Joy for life camp without informing us. (Ramadan no tourist time). We where really disappointed, although this camp was very nice as well it was not what I chose. Dinner and tea with campfire were great.

HungaryThank you Ali for your amazing guidance! We really enjoyed our stay in your camp. It was a bit cold, but it was one of our most memorable experience that we had in Jordan so far. You really made our Wadi Rum journey as eventful as possible. We are also thankful for your chef and his well made dishes. Hospitality really on spot! Would recommend it for sure!

Slovenia- cold weather that the camp has no influence on😉, but I really recommend that you take enough warm clothes for sleeping, because nights are very cold in tents during winter nights - the price may not be the same as written on booking ( we booked 3 twin rooms for 2,25 JOD per room per night for 1 night including breackfast and diner, but at the end it was 5 JOD per person for additional night), however, it is still super super cheap regarding the service it offers and fairly worth much much more - if you dont take any tour you have to pay additional 40 JOD per car for returned transportation which is not mentioned on booking ( similar as other camps, some of which even charge you more eventhough are at similar location - we asked several camps before picking this one), however, if you take the tour, you dont need to pay anything for transportation as well as not for accomodation with diner & breackfast (I would highly recommend taking tour because it is really worthed)
- excellent location in the middle of the desert, really peaceful and beautiful surrounding, perfect for walking/hiking around or just enjoying your day in the camp - extremly nice and caring staff that really trying their best that you feel welcomed and that all your needs are met, even teaching you their traditional beduin and arabic dances, explaining their traditional cookings... -amaizingly delitious food, huge variety of really good traditional dishes on self sevice base (for us was the best food we ate in Jordania on our 10 days trip) - verry well organized tour that includes much more attractions that other camps (we took 4h tour and we almost visited all the places that other camps were offering us for the whole day tour, the tour also included teaching you sand boarding and amaizing sunset) - very clean camp, better than most of much higher level & much expensier accomodations we had in Jordan, camp also has hot water, electrity and all basic things you need, also additional blankets for cold nights

HungaryI travelled with my siblings to Wadi Rum and booked Bedouin house for holiday for 1 night stay. This was one of the best experience we had in Jordan staying in this camp. Everything was beyond expectations. 1) The camp 2) Jeep tour, Camel tour 3) Dinner and breakfast, dinner was exceptional! Best food we had in Jordan. Special mention to the chicken cooked under the sands, it was yummy 😋 4) Last but not the least, the people! They are so warm and welcoming! Special mention to Difalha, he was very nice to us :) Would recommend to go for this camp in Wadi Rum, hands down!

Czech RepublicThis was not a problem for this place but for the whole area - in the night there is noise from airplanes overhead, apparently there is a flight corridor for the AMM airport. The tents have soft roof and the airplanes noise woke us up several times.
We stayed in a tent with a private bathroom, my expectation was not high because it is a remote place in desert, however, the tent was very comfortable and almost like a normal hotel room (hard walls, tiled floor, normal bathroom, electricity). Sand and dust from the desert, which normally gets everywhere, was not in the room.
