Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNeed to improve accessibility/comfort for seniors/ people with disabilities/ wheelchairs e.g. a Lift from reception to pool area would be ideal. Chairs too low at poolside/beach. Rooms are not equipped for people with disabilities / wheelchair e.g. seat in shower. Room allocated very far from main activities not suitable for elderly/ disability
Availability of local foods on menu and lots of food options. Standard of food and presentation good. Food available 24hrs. Layout of pools and close access to beach is good.

ItalyThe fact that having reserved through booking I couldn’t use some services included (like airport shuttle) and i had to pay extra My room was great but located so close to the street that i had difficulties sleeping The room service too invasive, coming in the room even if i was shouting to wait The sand fleas in the evening on the beach.. awful
The location is fabulous, probably the best beach around Everything extreamly clean Food for 4 days ok, then becoming repetitive Night entertainment surprisingly unique

United States of AmericaWe did a private dinner on the beach and the food was absolutely terrible. We took one bite of each thing, and our plates were full when the waiter came back to pick them up. The stake was absolutely inedible. You should offer more options for the romantic private dinner at that cost. We had the option of steak and lobster and lobster wasn't even available. It was a beautiful experience, but the food kind of ruined it and we ended up going to the buffet after.
The buffet was amazing.

United States of AmericaBecause of the remote location it would be nice to have an ATM on the property. The bar area could probably stay open later than midnight. Also there should be a place to eat for late night dining.
I liked the location for this vacation, i have never stayed in Negril in the past I think I prefer Montego Bay area better but I still had a nice vacation.

United States of AmericaThe only downside was the pesticide. I could smell it in the room. That said. I appreciate what they were doing to save us from the mosquitos!
Love love love. Food was great. Room was clean. It was an excellent location for visiting cliffs and other places. The staff were very friendly. The beach was just perfect.

United States of AmericaThe room just stayed in smelled like mildew the entire time, and when we looked, we noticed the inside of the sofa had mildew on it. We wiped it down as best as we could with our Lysol wipes, and we advised the front desk that it smelled like mildew. But whatever, if we smelled it I’m sure they smell it as well. Also the shower still had hair in it. And something bit us up like crazy. I know there are all kinds of bugs, so we didn’t think much of it. But the amount of bites we received, only at night, is unsettling.
I loved how close it was to the beach.

United States of AmericaI was not a fan of the food options that came with the all inclusive. We didn’t get a chance to eat at one of the restaurants that requires reservations but the buffet and room service were lackluster. My party and I loaded up on the Jerk Hut when it was open during the day because we didn’t enjoy the food elsewhere.
Nice property and friendly staff. The beach located on the property was amazing: clean and beautiful blue water. Check-in and check-out was nice. Plenty of bars and never had to wait long for a drink. The Jerk Hut on the property was really good for an all-inclusive.

United States of AmericaThe spraying of pesticide while patrons were on the property as opposed to late at night or early morning. Also, probably due to the quick turnover of food, some of the entrees were a little greasy for my liking.
I loved the staff, they were very accommodating and friendly.I loved the nightly entertainment, the cleanliness and the food was fresh.

United States of AmericaThey do not have an ATM on the resort premises I thought that was kind of weird. They will switch out your money to Jamaican denomination for you at the front desk though. They don't carry a large selection of authentic Jamaican food.
The staff and the location was great. Rooms were clean and they were comfortable. Like the amenities of the resort. Check in and check out what's very easy.

United States of AmericaThe rooms had many many problems (both rooms), maintenance was great but it was frustrating to constantly call. The rooms are small and not super comfortable. The food was not great and the restaurants were tiny so they were all booked when we got in. When we got into a restaurant after a cancellation the food portions were not sufficient and they did not allow a second serving. The service was hit or miss, mostly miss.
The grounds were gorgeous and the rooms were clean with big beautiful balconies. Certain people were great, Judith at the beach, the woman that does the omelettes, the luggage carrier was also so wonderful with all those stairs.

United States of AmericaWe spent 6 days/5nights at Riu Palace with our 18m.o toddler. The location is amazing. Beautiful beach with shallow waters, our son had so much fun playing on the shore by the water and in the pool. Resort has a beautiful and very well maintained territory, three swimming pools and one kids pool. Buffet and all restaurants on-site are good, plenty of options to chose from. Really, nothing to complain about. The resort is great and we had a wonderful vacation! There are also water complimentary activities (paddle, kayak etc.) which is nice to enjoy. Taxi service for additional cost is available on-site if you want to explore the area.
