Maria was an exceptional host - very communicative and made our stay in Venice special with multiple recommendations and local insight. The location was superb, very close to the Vaporetto yet not in too touristy an area.

With hindsight the price is on the high side because there are 3 star hotels just off San Marco with the same price but that is possibly the only downside. Everything else was great!

The apartment is very welcoming and very charming. It opens straight up onto the canal and that view is enjoyed throughout the whole apartment. The hosts are very welcoming and the apartment is spotless clean.

Mery met us and took us to the apartment. It was on a canal with a door that opened to the canal. Just beautiful. Mery and Sara set us up with reservations for a rooftop viewing of the grand canal. We were given great recommendations for restaurants and they sent ideas of things to see. Mery was quick to answer any questions we had. The apartment.was decorated nicely and fit our needs well. Venice was just amazing and we would recommend Watersdoor to anyone visiting.

Maria made everything possible to ensure that we had a fantastic stay! The apartment is very cosy and clean and filled with all necessary facilities. Bathroom is very spacious and modern. Location is unbeatable, very close to all major sites and transportation hubs. We particularly enjoyed Maria’s tips about what’s happening in the city and where to go to (sightseeing, restaurants etc). Highly recommend this apartment and host! Mille grazie Maria!!!

Maria is a fantastic host with brilliant communication. The apartment is small but beautifully formed with really thoughtful touches. It's lovely and warm inside but things like fleecy blankets to wrap up warm and sit outside on the candlelit balcony with a glass of wine are such a good idea. She even provides rubber boots in case you are staying when there is aqua alta. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever stayed in in a holiday rental. Hat's off to Maria, she is an absolute super star.

The room was right next to the channel with a romantic fit-out and neat decoration. Bars and restaurants nearby. San Marco and Rialto only 15 minutes away. The landlady sent us very helpful insider tips for museums and sightseeing.

Everything ! The property is beautifully decorated and in a great location near everything. Mery had left us a drink for arrival and snacks and there are coffee and refreshments for you to use. Absolutely fabulous. Mery was the most fantastic host meeting us when we got there and giving us loads of tips on where to go. Would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely go back. Absolutely amazing location down a beautiful alley. We were super impressed when we opened the door to.the apartment. Very romantic. Great tips everyday from the hosts. Best of all was the main room door that opened onto a quiet pretty canal so we could sit and drink aperol spritz by candlelight.

Everything was great about this place. First of all, Mery was amazing, such a great person, with a lot of energy, so many tips about Venice and with a very warm greeting. The apartament was great, the view to the canal was amazing and it was pretty quiet there, and also is very close to all objectives (about 10 minutes to everything). I strongly recommend to stay here at least once.

It was all great!!

This was such a special place to stay for our 2 nights in Venice. It was an easy walk to everywhere and opening the doors right onto the canal was a real treat! The apartment has everything and Mery was a fabulous host throughout. Highly recommend Waters Door & Mery. If it’s free when you’re going…just book it!!

The apartment was spotlessly clean and we were met with lit candles and champagne on ice, which I had requested for my fiancés birthday. The shower was great and the air con was a godsend in the hot weather! Mery was in contact with us regularly before and during our stay and she had lots of helpful information for us to make the most of our trip. She even managed to find a friend to look after our bags on our last day as we weren’t flying out till late evening - brilliant service! Right on the water’s edge, we felt like real Venetians for our trip!
