Franco and Nana are the nicest hosts (and people) I’ve probably ever met. They made our stay so enjoyable and helped with so many recommendations. Rooms were big and clean and breakfast was awesome. Short 5 minute walk into town. Couldn’t recommend this enough!

The best part about this place are the hosts. They are warm, friendly, and caring. It was a little off the beaten path but so easy to get to the busy waterfront. Nice to be in more of a residential area. The homemade baked cakes and pastries for breakfast was out of this world!

Nana, Franco & Annaeise were amazing hosts. Very warm welcome when we arrived. Good tips on places nearby to visit. Room was perfect. Spacious, clean & comfortable. Parking on street was not a problem. Franco offered us a parking permit but we didn't actually need it. Big breakfast with lots of home made cakes etc. Supermarket on the street corner and 10-15 min walk to beach, restaurants, old town etc.

The breakfast was incredible, fresh fruits, cheese and cold cuts, various types of torts and cakes, pancakes, cucumbers and tomatoes and bakery bread. They host and hostess for incredibly friendly and attentive, they offered fresh juice and cappuccinos every morning, served at our own tables on the outdoor covered balcony. Hosts were definitely the most attentive, kind, caring, and helpful people I have ever met! The B&B was located in a quiet residential neighborhood just a few minutes walk from the center of town. The parking was easy in front. the the B&B was cheerfully decorated and extremely clean.

Nothing, it was perfect!

Our stay couldnt have been better! We were met by Franco, Nana and Anais on arrival and they made us feel like part of the family straight away. The bedroom and bathroom are really lovely, modern and exceptionally clean with hand painted artwork by Nana, the breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice and gorgeous home made cakes. It was so nice being able to have breakfast just outside your room too on the balcony. It’s a ten minute walk to the centre with beautiful beaches close by, the parking was free right outside the property so it was really easy. Also I’m learning Italian and they were all really kind and patient with me. I can’t emphasise enough how amazing the hosts are, it was the best place we’ve ever stayed. We really didn’t want to leave!

Highly recommended! The location and owners were perfect! Helping and welcoming with every question, recommending local places to visit and dinning . They are cooking great breakfast with home made pies and juices specifically the limoncello that was a great surprise to have on a hot spring morning :) Definitely worth the visit and stay. I would be returning !

Scrupulously clean, spacious, and everything fully functional, it’s immaculate all round. The hosts Franco & Nana welcome you like long lost family, then reappear in the morning to oversee breakfast, which is all fresh each day, and despite only catering to a maximum of four sets of guests, the full range of coffee, tea, bread, meat, cheese, fruit and pastries is covered, crowned by Nana’s home made cake - if there’s a Great Italian Bake-Off TV programme, Nana should enter! Yes, it’s possible to stay a bit nearer the old town and/or the beach, but both are in the easy walking distances claimed. The Atlantis beach restaurant at the end of their road has umbrella and beds for 22 euros, and there is a well stocked Waitrose-like CONAD supermarket 50 metres the other way. There’s also free street parking on the opposite side of their road. One of us is vegetarian, and with this in mind, they gave us two restaurant recommendations - Resto Gusto, and La Bella Idrusa for pizzas (enormous! consider sharing!) - which were both excellent. After two nights, we were waved off to continue our journey with a handshake, hug and a kiss.

One of the best b&b's we have stayed in. Our super hosts Nana and Franco made our stay in Otranto a definite highlight of our holiday. Nana and Franco were welcoming, kind, helpful and their caring attitudes made us feel like family. Our room was spacious,modern,clean and very comfortable. Location is just perfect-an easy 10 minute walk to beaches and the historical old town. Breakfast was generous and delicious- Nana's home-made cakes and tarts were to die for!. Receiving a beautiful hand painted piece of artwork as a parting gift from Nana provided us with a beautiful momento from our wonderful stay in Otranto.

The hosts, Nana & Franco, were most gracious and attentive. From the moment we arrived they welcomed and made us feel like family. Nana’s special gift for baking spoiled us to daily fresh tarts & breakfast sweets which we enjoyed on the veranda. the accommodations where spotless, modern, comfortable and within walking distance to the beach, town & restaurants. the host also provided valuable recommendations on restaurants and sites to visit. we truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at Vele d’Otranto.

Nana, Franco and Anais were the most wonderful hosts. We still talk about our stay here and have such fond memories of our vacation and meeting them was definitely one of our highlights. I wish I could give more than 10 stars to them ! Love love love this place and Nana, Franco and Anais made us feel so welcome and took such good care of us! Highly recommend this place to anyone traveling here !!

Despite 10 min walk to beaches and the old town....Franco & Nana are among the best hosts I've ever come across in a B&B. Kind, courteous, helpful, full of fun and just the right amount of wish to please. Top that with immaculate rooms fit for a luxury hotel....cannot recommend Vele Sorrento highly enough...just book and stay. Ron

Absolutely nothing!!

The property was very well kept! Everything was extremely clean, like new. Nana and Franco greeted us outside when we arrived like we were family they were waiting to see! They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It was obvious they love you what they do! Easy parking in front of their B&B. The breakfast was very good. Location was an easy walk to city center and beach. We highly recommend this B&B you will not be disappointed!!
