Just know that there are only two restaurants near the hotel and at both you seem to need reservations. You are way up on the hill so you will need to make reservations or have food to make your own meals.

Beautiful view and staff was awesome. They offer a private car/driver to take you places and fees were quite fair. Also they sell wine there to have in your room and it's very good and very affordable. They offer a boxed breakfast for $10 which was good.

Just a suggestion, if you want to eat at the restaurant near the villa, Osteria da Severino, I suggest calling or asking the staff a few days ahead as they tend to get fully booked quickly. The staff helped us with a reservation at an excellent local restaurant 15 kms away, but keep in mind that you're in the mountains so you need to be prepared for peace and quiet. Cell phone reception was inexistent in the villa itself, but the WiFi worked very well both in the rooms and outside in the garden.

The location of the villa - spectacular looks all around, peace and quiet. The rooms were good in size, large garden outside with a barbecue, 6 chairs and a large table. The staff was great, from the moment we arrived until we left. They welcomed us with a smile, explained what is there to be done nearby and helped with restaurant reservations. There is a small supermarket nearby (closed on Sunday) - 3 minutes walk - where you can buy excellent local products - meats, cheeses, drinks etc.

We got an upgrade into a hugh villa with private garden and stunning view over the valley, fully equipped with kitchenware and a nespresso coffee machine. The place is on top of a hill, surrounded by park, perfect for relaxing 20 minutes from the city of Lucca. The decor of the villas is superb. Francesco was extremely friendly and helpful, notwithstanding the fact we arrived quite late and made him wait for us.

The fitness center was not open before 9 am, which is very late if you like to go for some trips during the day. Also the equipment in the gym was dated and not in good condition. The parking situation was a little uncomfortable especially in the night because of the distance to the condo.

The location is amazing and the view breathtaking! Our condo was great, good equipped. The only thing missing was a microwave. The location of the pool was wonderful. Everything was great maintained.

Being picky here because I have to... We had the garden / lawn terrace over the pool which could have done with a mow.

Tucked away in the mountains with a spectacular view. The pool was an awesome feature for a 18 month old son. The staff were very accommodating to all our requests. It’s a 20 minute drive into town however we loved being away in a quiet and beautiful area.

The apartment was very warm and although the Aircon was set to 17 degrees there seemed to be underfloor heating that we couldn't turn off. We didn't ask for assistance because the reception was closed when we realised - but I'm sure we could have asked / followed up. The indoor pool and spa didn't seem to be open and while wine is available to purchase on-site it would have been nice to have additional items (the local grocery store is limited). If I were staying again I would stop at a grocery store in Lucca before driving to the accommodation. Also - the restaurant within walking distance is closed on Tuesday.

Gorgeous view, 15 mins to Lucca. Apartment has lots of space, well equipped, staff are very friendly and helpful.

Our room wasn't quite ready for 4pm but we were allowed to use the pool so it was all good. Very helpful and polite staff.

It would have been nicer if the pool was a little bigger and a bit deeper. It was not overcrowded but a few more families and it would have been. The price was a little high, I would have preferred it to be slightly cheaper.

Our only complaint was the air conditioning was not as we expected. There’s no air conditioning in the smaller bedroom, only the master. The reception did immediately provide us with a fan which helped.

Our apartment was beautiful. Very large. Well equipped. Tastefully decorated. Beautiful views. Lovely pool area. Well kept grounds. Can walk to a small grocery store and some restaurants.

Outstanding location with a breath taking view. Especially in the evening. Worth the road to go up the hill! Apartment was well designed and very well furbished. Very quiet. Staff was super nice and helped settling down and checking out in a very effective way. Really recommend if you have a stay in Luca’s area.

Our apartment is close to the main entrance (Rosamarine), so we can hear the traffic (well, as the villa is basically situated in a hill, so not that busy) and people checking in/out from our bedroom. People are required to wear swim caps to swim in the pool and we bought 2 of those. However, it seems like we are the only one who complied with this rule, we didn't see ppl wearing them and no one checked either. Inner decoration is a mix of different style of furniture. Fully equipped kitchen but there is no microwave. Bathrooms are small and lack of hooks. The internet is also shaky.

The apartment is spacious and fits a 4 heads (with older kids) family comfortably and with 2 full bathrooms with shower cabins. The location is perfect for day trips to nearby tourist attractions, e.g. Cinque Terre (1.5 hours drive), Pisa and Lucca (45 min and 20 mins respectively), Florence (1.5 hours drive). The place has a very good view of the area as it is sitting in the middle of the hill covered with olive trees. Fun or not so fun part is the drive up to the villa, typical winding and narrow roads in Italy. The outdoor pool has a view of the valley and is well equipped with umbrellas and chairs.

Lightning at downstairs of our apartment was little bit weak. I suggest make better internet page for your villa, because we didn’ t find that it’s so good and all services, shops and everything are available easy!

Villa Guinigi was very beautiful place and everything went easy under our stay. Place was better than we excepted after information we could found from Booking or internet 🙂 staff was very polite and efficient. and Thanks for baby gate which they bought just for us after 2 h we arrived! very good customer service! ❤️ we will come back!

Disappointed with our allocated apartment. Dark and the decor dated and lacking in character. Much closer proximity to neighbours than expected from photos and website. The surprise swim cap rule seemed to put off everyone from enjoying the pool - only bald guys and babies seemed to enter.
