The bathroom was not so pleasant, lots of limescale on the shower, it was an open shower too so the bathroom got very wet. And the pillows are very hard. Breakfast was ok.

Lovely local family hotel, very traditionally italian and the views are amazing!! Great location in assisi but be prepared parking is a challenge!

Excellent room in a very central location in Assisi. I would certainly stay here again. The bed was very comfortable. The room was a great value for the money. A five minute walk to the bus stop.

You have to climb a flight of steep steps to get to the door so not ideal for people with mobility issues.

Charming hotel right next to the square and surrounded by restaurants, and a five minute walk from the Piazza Matteotti bus stop. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and cosy and the bed very big and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and included a variety of cold cuts, cakes and cereals, etc. I loved that they had tea time included in the afternoon.

Beds not too comfortable but clean. Showering gets the whole bathroom wet. Despite this, we would still highly recommend this hotel

Location right in the middle of town, next to the central square, in a picture-perfect building. Unsurpassed views from a common attic with large windows. Buffet breakfast. Very clean. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Despite some shortcomings, staying here was almost a magical experience

Before we set out on our trip to Italy, we had contact with this establishment, and received information on how to arrive w/ photos of the location & a parking garage, also asking us if we used “What’sApp. We do not and informed our contact. Apparently that is a popular app with Italians or other European travelers. Our contact did not have a backup plan for guests that do not have that app. We had encountered the same drill on our last trip, but our property manager then, had a working phone and we were in constant contact. We satisfied our check-in with Apple messaging and an e-mail, just in case… After looking around the Piazza we had to ask a business in the neighborhood to locate the entrance to this hotel. We had intended to park in the Piazza and get our bags to the hotel, then park our car. Fortunately we voted to find the parking garage first and get the bags later, as we had to contact the property manager first to let him know we had arrived and make sure someone would meet us there. We tried the phone number our contact had given us, but that number did not work. We did find the door to the hotel up some steps and there was a posted notice with a phone number. We called and a young female associate, arrived within10 minutes, with keys to the entrance door and our room. She showed us how everything worked and left. We called a cab to retrieve our bags and put them in our room the, “Rose Room”. Thus ending hours of pointless delay. Once inside the hotel, it seemed more like a worn out B&B as far as what we encountered in our room. It was a cramped space but warm. The floor space was compromised by stopping before the windows and making a sharp drop off into a deep well and a definite hazard if obscured by the window drapes, when closed. That was marked by placing a chair in the well.

The warm and cheerful breakfast room with real Deruta pottery plates, was nice to wake up to! There was fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, meat & cheese, delicious home made cakes (especially the apple cake that seems to be ubiquitous at breakfast buffet tables), and excellent coffee happily delivered by our host, in sizable cups! So, one would imagine Hotel Trattoria Pallotta would be a hotel with trattoria. Not really. There is a Trattoria Pallotta, somewhat connected to the “hotel”, not too far away and it is very good!!! Our host gallantly rolled our bags to the parking garage for us, as the garage was not very far from the “hotel”, so we parted on good terms and we were off to the next adventure.

A Charming Retreat with Enchanting Views Our recent stay at was nothing short of magical, leaving us with memories of a picture-perfect holiday. From the beautiful surroundings to the easy check-in process, every aspect of our experience was delightful. The hotel itself is a visual masterpiece, resembling a scene straight out of a postcard. The location proved to be ideal, with the main attractions just a short distance away. The convenience added an extra layer of enjoyment to our explorations. The check-in process was seamless, and we appreciated the unique touch of collecting the keys from a nearby shop. The room, as expected, was comfortable, and the availability of breakfast, featuring traditional cakes, added a delightful start to our mornings. Visiting during the Christmas season was an absolute treat. The entire area was adorned with festive lights and decorations, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. Enjoying lovely sunsets against this backdrop added a magical touch to our holiday. The ancient medieval village was nothing short of charming. Every corner seemed to be lifted from a fairy tale, offering picturesque views that captured the essence of the region. The misty mornings, with clouds drifting in, added a mystical and enchanting quality to the surroundings. Exploring the local dining scene was a pleasure, with many good restaurants in close proximity. The area felt safe for evening walks, even after dark, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the charm of the surroundings. As our stay came to an end, the only regret we had was not being able to extend it. The desire to visit again and stay longer is strong, a testament to the wonderful experience we had. If you're seeking a charming retreat with enchanting views and a touch of magic, this hotel is the perfect choice. We eagerly look forward to our next visit.
