I could not find any fault. Staff spoke little English but then I like to try new languages and with Google translate and a lot of laughter it's fun really..that's what you travel for .

The room was spacious and clean. It was very comfortable. There were plenty of spare blankets and pillows. I had a fantastic view. Staff were just so polite and welcoming. I had a problem with my travel charger for my phone and they organised a spare. I travelled on budget so asked for my water bottle to be filled at breakfast and they did every morning with a smile. I would honestly just go back for the people alone, but the hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok.. I am German, so like my breakfast slightly different but the Croissants were freshly baked, There was fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs, Donuts and cereals and tiny baguettes. Continental meats and cheese. Juice,tea,coffee,milk. So for €7 it was plenty. Reception was manned 24/7. Shower gel,hair dryer, towels provided. The room was tidied and bed made every day. It's 5 minutes walk from the Basilica and bus station. I hope to return one day! The hotel has an elevator and air con.

Great location, within easy walking distance to main bus station to catch the bus to top of the town and then walk down, very close to Basilica San Francesco. Great hot water, Friendly staff, Great recommendation for restaurant L'Oro dei Contadini. Good car parking

The parking is quite awkward: the entrance is very narrow, if other cars are parked in the street nearby and you have a rather large car, forget about parking there. The beds are quite uncomfortable.

The breakfast is quite varied, but the food is mid-quality (especially for continental breakfast). The position is great, at walking distance from most of the destinations in the centre of Assisi.

The beds were horrible The parking was extremely difficult (even with a small car) The staff was rude.

I have never written a negative review but I am doing so to protect others. I am familiar with Assisi as I come about every 5 years for the last 25 years. In the past I stayed at the convent pofferings but this year was not able to do so. I decided to go with this hotel becasue of its location---BIG MISTAKE! I had indicated that I was a grown woman traveling with my 79 year old Dad and we needed two beds and also indicated we preferred FIRM beds. I was told that stairs were not necessary becasue there is an elevator Well, the beds were AWFUL. They are in desperate need of replacement. Yes, there is an elevator but MANY Split floors so to get to the room Dad took elevator but then had to go up about 5 steps and down 5 steps and up 5 steps...It was not easy. Also, the parking was VERY difficult with very narrow corners, even though we had a very small car. Because of the beds, we ended up not staying there more than 1 night and the woman who worked there (I believe she was the owner) was very unpleasant. I didnt want to "out her" in front of others so I quietly explained how poor the beds were and she responded with rudeness. I have never left a hotel prematurely before (And I travel for 2-3 weeks, 3-4 times per year!) Summary: Do not stay here due to horrible beds, difficult parking, and rude staff.
