Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI found the duvet on the bed without no cover although the bed had 2 sheets unusual. I hadnt come across before. Though it didnt really make any difference as all bedding was clean and fresh.
Great location. Room cleaned daily. Very clean overall. we slept well, bed very comfortable no outside noise. Staff very friendly and helpful.. had to book an airport transport very early which they organised. theres a little shop next door to buy milk, water, snacks. Lovely safe neighbourhood. Lots of cafes and restaurant within walking distance. Fantastic location, close to the vatican but not a tourist trap, plenty of Italians going about their business. There is an elevator as well which is helpful with luggage. Recommended....

United StatesThe shower head needed to be replaced - it was leaking water out the sides. Not enough to bother me much at the beginning but it got a little worse every day. Things wear out so I understand that and still would absolutely recommend this place.
Style of room is very modern and comfortable, with a good view, comfortable bed, and chairs. Appropriate-sized desk and place to hang clothes, as well as needed amenities. Beautifully decorated. They had a Rick Steve's Rome book in the hallway which was really useful to borrow as well! The location is FANTASTIC. Close to the Metro (~ 5 minutes walk), close to the Vatican (~ 10 minutes walk), a good gelatteria nearby and some really good restaurants within a few minutes' walk as well - you absolutely must eat at Historia Dino & Tony restaurant for an authentic meal at a popular place! Easy access to downtown Rome without the exorbitant prices and with a more legit, less intensely touristy feel.

BrazilThe room was extremely cramped and nothing like the advertised pictures on the booking.com website. We stayed one night and one morning with out any hot water. This was eventually rectified but we had to change our plans to accommodate the wait. The air conditioning control was also missing from the room which made our stay even more uncomfortable.
