Very friendly and accomodating staff - I arrived at 8am and they let me take a shower and leave my luggage for the day before check in. Always ready with a smile. Breakfast was fine. Location is great for Florence. Room was very clean and aircon effective.

Although I knew there wouldn't be a fridge in the room, but because of the hot weather, not having a fridge was a disadvantage.

The hotel is old and more like a bed and breakfast do not have a mini fridge in the room as I need it to put my medication, but the staff was kind to secure it in their hotel fridge. Bed were not very comfortable and only give you one pillow

The staff was great and there is someone there 24/7 which is nice. There wasn’t any AC which was unfortunate in the middle of summer however I was aware of that when I booked. They do give you a fan but it just takes a while to cool off. Other than that the experience was great!

Location was great close to all the sites but quiet. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean - I was very impressed. Breakfast was limited but tasty. Room was spacious with a great shower.

Our room was on the ground floor into the street and hence very noisy. No airconditioning.

For a 2 star hotel well equipped, good beds, friendly staff, good choice of breakfast and walking distance from all the sights. Safe parking just a few blocks away.

Overall it was really great. Two very small things - the breakfast was a bit limited (although I'm told that is often the way with Italian breakfasts!) apart from the coffee which was great; and it would have been nice to be provided with some bottles of shower gel or something in the bathroom (there were small sachets). But I am being picky. It's a lovely place and I'd definitely stay again.

I stayed at Hotel Rita Major for three nights for work and had a very enjoyable stay. It was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent - very close to the centre but not in the middle of the tourist area. A bonus is the lovely courtyard area which I used for working in, which is a great communal area to work or relax in. I got in quite late on two nights and there was always someone on reception to welcome me in.

You can improve breakfast with more options and be more generous with coffee.

Good location. Clean room. Breakfast is just what you see in the picture, no eggs, but when I asked for a second cappuccino I was given a smaller cup. Staff was really nice. Laura was very helpful and gave us a city map that made easy to visit the important sights. Good value for price paid.

Everything was perfect! There was a glitch with communication beforehand but the hotel is aware of this and will sort it out.

Such a charming, sweet old-fashioned hotel with everything you need in a great location, and such good value for money! I could not get over the amazing staff - the most helpful, friendly, warm people I have come across at a hotel - every one without exception! They really went above and beyond and made my stay so special. My room and the hotel in general was absolutely spotlessly clean and very comfortable in a quiet, safe area, just 1.5 km (20 minute stroll) to the Uffizi gallery, and even closer to the Duomo. The location was perfect for me because it was just outside the chaos of the old city centre, but within such easy reach of all the main attractions. There is also a bus that stops just a few metres from the hotel, so getting there with public transport is a breeze. Lovely breakfast each morning (with the best cappuccino in the world!) overlooking the gorgeous, quaint courtyard which really set me for the day. I loved my time at Hotel Rita Major and would definitely stay here again if I ever get the chance to go back to Florence!
