Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

SlovakiaWe were there on cold days, and the heating is extra charged (10€/day). The walls are a bit thin, they're not isolating sound too good, so you will hear your neighbours.
The view of the lake is amazing from the balcony, and the surronding is very quiet. The location of the property is excellent, however the center of Malcesine is a bit far by walk (about an hour). Taking the bus is recommended (6 minutes to the center), but expect the bus is not coming in time (download the TicketBusVerona app and buy tickets in advance)..

PolandThe pool is intended rather for quiet cool dawn than the play. So families with kids should be aware. However after a bit of an effort kids enojoyed it anyway :)
Very good place with a stunning View. Quiet but close to Restaurant, bar, shop and a beach. Well organized and very well equipped Room with all you need for a Comfort stay.

IrelandWe booked here because it advertised WiFi and I needed this for work so we chose this place paying more than other accommodations based on the WiFi availability , which was not working….the owner did say he would try to get it repaired, but it wasn’t, we have to trust he tried… This meant having to pay for internet cafe use which also added having to drive to the next town and pay for parking.. I know this sounds petty but it all became an added expense and the plan was to be able to work a few hours each day in the apartment Booking.com then also tried to charge us a second time saying we had not paid the property as agreed on arrival. Thankfully we had out receipt but it took some time to have this sorted… I believe this was not the fault of the apartment owner rather booking.com.
It was clean, and very quiet as for some of the time we were the on,y guests and for the rest there was only one other apartment in use as guests from what we could see. It was dog friendly
