I have stayed in the Dumo view with spacious terrace at Repubblica Firenze many times over a decade and I know from stay at other properties that the apartment is outstanding and an incredible value. The building greets you with a sense of order and modernity. So does the room, especially compared to other apartments. For example, the bathroom and shower are quite clean and modern, with strong water pressure and a great experience in the glass shower. The apartment is super quiet, with no street noise detectable, save for a siren now and then. There is only one other room on the floor and therefore super private and quiet. The kitchenette is functional, though I only use the fridge — it’s Italy! I go to restaurants. The view is dreamy and we invite friends staying elsewhere to join us before dinner. One couple liked it so much that they booked a stay for July 2025. The location cannot be beat, central to everything and in a famous, lively, joyous square.

The location is absolutely amazing and so is the view there was plenty of space for me and my husband for our honeymoon even with two giant check-ins! The breakfast was also amazing it was the perfect start to the day!

While we loved the convenience of the location, it’s worth mentioning that being right in the centre of Florence also means it’s in one of the busiest and most touristy parts of the city. So, if you’re looking for something quieter, that might be something to consider. It’s worth noting for many the view is probably one of the more attractive features of this place — the room we stayed in had a panoramic terrace view, and although the view was beautiful, you had to climb up a few steps to enjoy it. So it isn't setup isn’t exactly how the photos online show it. You have to climb a small staircase, which has been added for you to get a view, so you can't enjoy it while just sitting in the terrace. Another small downside was the shower setup. It’s inside a rather large jacuzzi tub, and you have to climb in and out to take a shower, which wasn’t the most practical design. A walk-in shower would have been much easier to use.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, and there were plenty of things we loved about it. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Florence, just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo. It was incredibly convenient for sightseeing, which made exploring the city so easy. The room itself was perfect for a couple’s getaway. It had everything we needed, and we especially appreciated the little touches, like the snacks and a full bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. The building also had an elevator, which was really helpful for getting our luggage up, though there were still a few steps to reach the door.

Vibrating sounds near the bedroom interfere with a restful sleep.

Luxurious accommodation in a great location close to all major tourist attractions. Self-catering but restaurants and supermarkets close by. Has a lounge and dining area. Felt super safe.

Wow. What a view! We will definitely be coming here again. The room is very comfortable and the balcony is exceptional. The location was perfect and we loved getting an espresso and croissant at Gilis downstairs. This is the perfect Florence apartment if its just you +1.

Can’t say enough about this place! Location was perfect, the view from the Duomo apartment can’t be beat, modern amenities, very nice welcome, secure building, right on a plaza that had great night life and great restaurants!

A few things didn’t really work, some plug sockets, the dish washer didn’t work. The fridge was very weak but honestly everything didn’t matter because the view was so wonderful.

At night there was a lot of noise from some type of machine in the condo. There was no curtain on the main window in the room. The jacuzzi needs repairs.

The neighborhood is excellent, but remember that it is a car-free area. The apartment has some amenities such as an iron, hairdryer and kitchen utensils for everyday use.

In brief, we loved everything about our stay. The apartment's convenient location allowed us easy access to all the sites we wanted to visit in Florence. The staff was fantastic, and the accommodations were superb. My highlight was the private rooftop terrace with a stunning view of the Duomo. Rest assured, you won't be disappointed. Whenever I'm in Florence, Italy, this will be my go-to place as long as it's available.

The shower is in the middle of a rather large jacuzzi so you had to climb in and out to have a shower. would have preferred a walk in shower.

This apartment was right in the heart of Florence, 5 mins walk to the Duomo and you had a great view from the terrace. The bed was large and very comfortable, great air-conditioning with two temperature controls - one in the lounge area and another in the bedroom.

The fireplace didn't work, but honestly I don't think we would've even used it. The toilet was hard to flush (had to press the button hard for 10 seconds to get it to flush). Some of the mist features on the shower didn't work, but that's just extra.

Superb location, right in the heart of Florence and the view of the duomo is incredible! We were honestly shocked at the value you get for the price and were really grateful we found this place when we were booking hotels last minute. The space is equipped with everything you need and perfect for a couple's romantic getaway. They even left us with snacks and a full bottle of wine that made our stay really comfortable. We sat on the deck enjoying the view while sipping on our wine. They had an elevator that made it easy to get up with your bags (and then just a few steps to the door). The double rainforest shower was also a really cool feature I've never seen before. Overall, would definitely recommend!

The elevator doesn’t go until the floor of the room and also the shower, was kind of strange . It was without any privacy in the middle of the room.
