Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandNothing major, just the shower pressure is very weak but this may be common in the area.
Lovely countryside location not far front Cortona by car. The large villa is divided into a few different sized apartments but each has its own entrance and outdoor dining area so relatively private. Nice pool to cool off in after a hot day off sightseeing. Kitchen was well equipped and useful to be able to prepare food for a family. Staff were helpful and they even sell wines from the property.

Wonderful, authentic Tuscan accommodation. An excellent starting point for exploring the area.

Very nice accommodation well located for various excursions to nearby towns. The rustic and tastefully furnished apartments offer an authentic Tuscan atmosphere. The kitchen is equipped with basic equipment, but enough to last even for longer stays. The apartment on the first floor also has air conditioning. There is enough space on the fairly large property for every guest to find their own quiet corner.

An absolute fantastic place. We couldn't have found better in Tuscany. The farm is beautiful, very well-kept, you can feel the care of the host. The apartment was very comfortable, spacious, equipped with everything one needs and more. You can feel the Italian, Tuscan atmosphere in the bedrooms. Angelo, the host, is a cordial, helpful person, always there when needed, with a smile. And his dinners for guests - a fairy tale that makes you feel like in the movie Under the Tuscan Sun. Perfect location, right under Cortona! I highly recommend it and I hope we will come back there ourselves one day!

GermanyWe needed to cut our trip short due to personal issues, so only stayed one day instead of four. We will definitely return for a longer stay next time. The apartment was spacious with large rooms and a wonderful fireplace. The owner was so kind and helpful, bringing us firewood and helping us build a fire in the open fireplace. The location is in the Tuscan countryside, only a few minutes off the highway so it would be convenient and easy to get anywhere. We had some trouble finding the address on our GPS, so you might want to ask for arrival directions. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was modern. The kitchen was well-equipped. We really loved this place and were sad to leave after only a day. There are many good restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive from the apartment.

ItalyJust that the bathroom has a sewage odor.
The location, the people. It was what we’ve always wanted. A home away from home to unwind. Toscana is always lovely, esp. in the summer. Cortona is a new place that has captured our hearts. Podere La Vecchia Fornace is a wonderful place to stay in. Near to almost destinations around Tuscany. We look forward to coming back one day.
