welcoming me even though I arrived late. There were two heavy carriers, but Roberto was willing to move humorously to our room. A fragrant room, well-organized bed, clean and soft bedding! There was no doubt that it was a home for two people to take care of with all their heart. The breakfast the next morning was also so fresh, delicious and neat. I already miss Roberto and Rebecca for trying to make sure there was nothing missing. Unfortunately, I couldn't see the sunset from the clouds during my stay, but it would have been beautiful from the garden. I asked for dinner and Rebecca treated me with her heart. There was a hot spring nearby, so I went and stayed comfortably. I just want to thank Roberto and Rebecca for helping me leave many memories during my trip to Italy.

Roberto and Rebecca were superb hosts. Even though it was the Olive harvest season, Roberto took time out to help Rebecca in the kitchen. Rebecca is an awesome cook! We enjoyed her breakfast and dinners. We look forward to a repeat visit as soon as we can. Billy & Josie

Rebecca and Roberto were fantastic hosts, really kind and accommodating. They also gave us some fantastic recommendations of where to visit in the area. Room was well maintained, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and the one dinner we had there was also fantastic. Not so much to say. Maybe I would have liked to spend more time talking to the landlords. But I also understand that managing such a premises is time consuming: farming, growing pigs, harvesting olives, preparing such wonderful meals and all the preparation it requires, not forgetting the administrative tasks that Italian government surely enforces. Roberto and Rebecca spend time with their customers with great pleasure, but we can see they lack time for this.

The location is ideally placed. Lake trasimeno, Tuscany, Umbria. Close to several very famous places but also lots of surprises, small villages hidden in the middle of a forest where you can admire middle age streets with no crowd. The landscapes are wonderful especially a dusk. Now the location Il Favaio : Well, you could find better but it’s already wonderful. Better means luxurious. Who needs luxury in vacation in the countryside? We need authenticity for this kind of vacation, and Il Favaio excels there. Not only the location is well placed, it’s also very nice. The owners are welcoming like at home. My room was large, nicely furnitures like one can expect in a rural environment. I live in a very artificial country, Luxembourg, and this authenticity was precious to me. The breakfast is astonishing, with almost products from the farm or from very local places in Umbria. The dinner is also breathtaking. I never had such good olive oil nor ham so tender. Rebecca is a 4 stars Cordon bleu, cooking wonderful meals with simple but high quality ingredients. The taste is deep without needing to add complexity in the recipe. Sometimes perfection means simplicity, this is very true for good Italian food. The dining room is nice, wood and stone, with the right music, very cosy atmosphere. Quality is found in such details. Roberto explains well what we have in the plate. He also likes to explain the principle of agriturismo and how the food has been chosen. Again, it’s being very demanding as a customer to find critics in this place. I spent 10 days in Italy and this place was the loveliest. And nights are so quiet, I slept like a baby in a 19th century bed frame.

Hosts are really nice and warm-hearted. They look like loving their job and guests. And the scenery was beautiful and peaceful. Dinner which is made by local ingredients was awesome. I and my husband fall in love the pasta including fish, and the ribeye steak :) Breakfast including handmade salami was so good. I recommend this agriturismo to make your journey perfect!

Fantastic location of the agriturismo. Superb view from the terrace. The swimming Pool makes it all complete. Comfortable room with good airco. We appreciated the small refridgerator. Last but not least the warm welcome by Roberto and Rebecca Who were available for any question one might have. The food that was served was truly delicious.

This agriturismo is truly a hidden gem in the hills below Lake Trasimeno. It is in a perfect location for exploring the local area with its interesting mix of culture, history and activities. Set on a quiet hillside the agriturismo has exceptional views across the rolling countryside. There’s a beautiful new swimming pool plus various thoughtfully placed shady seating areas where you can admire the stunning scenery. The breakfasts are amazing - and consist of locally produced preserves, cheese and ham, fabulously fresh eggs and delicious coffee. Don’t miss Rebecca’s homemade cakes - always a bonus with an Italian breakfast! In the evening Roberto and Rebecca prepare a stunning selection of dishes to serve for dinner - again all from local produce (including the wine). Their passion for excellence and quality really shines through and completes a fantastic dining experience. The setting, on the terrace watching the sun go down over the Tuscan hills is absolutely unbeatable. A true taste of Italy in every way. A special mention must go to Elena, our charming waitress who advised us so knowledgeably about the local wines. At the heart of the agriturismo are the super welcoming Rebecca and Roberto - nothing is too much trouble for them; their guests’ relaxation and enjoyment is paramount in all they do. The bedrooms are spotless with well equipped bathrooms and balconies overlooking the valley. There is a sense of peace and tranquility in this utterly magical place - do not hesitate to visit!

We were looking for an authentic agriturismo with homegrown foods and italian hosts. Our stay exceeded our expectations, mainly the produce (dinner especially was incredible), the location (view from restaurant over sunset was spectacular), and the swimming pool facilities (same amazing view). It was peaceful, and in a great location, with great hosts. We will be back next time in Umbria!

We had a wonderful stay at Roberto’s and Rebecca’s Agriturismo. It was a great experience, the room was comfortable and very clean, the outdoor area with the pool and terrace is very nice and most of all we loved the friendly and warmly atmosphere. We are so happy we could enjoy their great hospitality and that we got the chance to have an amazing dinner with local and home made products cooked by Rebecca (you shouldn’t miss the fresh pasta with ragu). The breakfast was also delicious with various delights. Wished we could have stayed longer!

No complaints except the wifi was quite slow, but we didn’t need it much anyway. Also mobile data works just fine here.

Roberto and Rebecca were the friendliest and kindest people we met in Italy so far. Their property is gorgeous and their local food is delicious. Very peaceful place to stay, I only wish we had time to stay longer! The shower was great, and we slept so well. Also they have some cute dogs.

Il Favaio is a place to be, if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful countryside place to relax, see the medieval villages of the area or even bicycle around the lake as we did! Roberto and Rebecca are people with a big heart. ❤️ They helped us with everything. Rebeccas’ food was best ever. There were nice and friendly dogs as well! Accommodation with two bedrooms is with a private backyard patio, comfortable bed (which is really important!) and very well equipped kitchen. The view from the farm is charming especially during sunset.

Rebecca & Roberto are the best hosts I ever had. They made us feel welcome at any moment & even had some nice tips on what to do 😊 The room was clean & comfortable. Sunset view is amazing. The breakfast was lovely & personal. I also suggest having lunch or dinner at least once in their cosy restaurant.

Nothing, everything was perfect for us.

Travelling for 5 weeks across Italy with a 4 year old and a 10 month old is not easy, and we wanted a relaxing place to finish our trip for the last week. And boy, were we glad we picked this agriturismo farm to spend a week to wind down and live the slow life in the Umbrian country side. Everything was perfect, literally, and could only have been made better had we picked a better season to visit Italy as the weather was not ideal (but as we joked with Roberto, they will do everything they can to make you happy during your stay, but they unfortunately cannot control the weather :-) The highlight of our week has to be the warmth, care and generosity that Roberto and Rebecca offered us throughout our stay. They made us feel right at home in their beautiful farm. I've seen it in another review but Roberto goes above and beyond to be a great host, and even went as far as strolling our baby to let us enjoy the delicious food one of the nights. Speaking of which, the food is outstanding and you can tell Rebecca has a lot of talent to cook delicious Italian food, it was definitely some of the best dishes we had in our entire trip. We hadn't planned on eating there every night but ended up eating dinner there 5 out of 6 nights because it was so good. For accommodations, we chose the apartment which was actually great for our small family, since its on the first floor we could easily wheel the stroller in and out and bring our sleeping son to late dinners directly with the stroller. The rooms were spacious and the terrace out back was great for aperitivo while the sun was setting. Being offseason was also great because we got to get preferential treatment from Roberto who took the time out of his busy schedule to show our daughter a great time around the farm and let us play with his dogs! All in all, this place is a perfect spot to wind down with a family with 2 kids,,highly recommended. If we ever go back to Italy, we will stop by here, for sure!
