Beautiful hotel, really lovely room and superb bathroom. The whole hotel has been very well updated and retained its art deco glamour. The staff were so helpful and I can’t praise them enough. Great location opposite the promenade with access to a fabulous beach. Good choice of restaurants close bye. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of pastries, fruit, as well as cooked . Hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station with easy access to Pisa, the airport and Florence

Location. Knowledge of the staff on the local area re best way if visiting and seeing the sites. Friendliness of the staff. Facilities and the atmosphere within the hotel. Great breakfast with plenty of choices.

The hotel is excellent, great location and has a terrific rooftop terrace. What makes it stand out though is the staff. The team at the Palace really go out of their way to make your stay special and do it with a genuine warmth and a smile. Will definitely come back!

View from balcony Beach access charge & uncomfortable furniture Wi-Fi sluggish

A disappointing start at this hotel with a balcony room that does provide a side view to the beach although fairly interrupted by other buildings (see pictures) and roofs - apparently the rooms at the front of the hotel are smaller (we booked a Deluxe) but do have an improved outlook. So, booking a better room didn’t really work! An Art Deco hotel of 100 years is going to have elements that are consistent with that. Rooms are decent size and well furnished but do show signs of wear. Comfortable large bed, powerful shower. Generally quiet in the hotel although possible to hear movement in the adjoining room.Breakfast adequate rather than startling, but fairly good choice. Housekeeping in the rooms is meticulous and tidy as well as spotlessly clean - these folks represent the hotel so well. Pleasant staff across the hotel. Wi-Fi fairly sluggish at times (streaming interruptions) maybe more Italy than the hotel. Coffee sleeves appeared to be rationed in the room (additional provided) but did get fresh milk provided for the fridge. The safe wouldn’t work and needed to be replaced - although warmly apologised for the inconvenience. Access to the (uncomfortable) beach furniture is chargeable, €45 per couple per day for 2 x sun loungers. Just the way it works in Viareggio, supposedly hotel partners but no real benefit. For the price was expecting a little better but liveable. Gave the management sight of this review prior to publishing (as they requested) and impressed that they contacted me to discuss the feedback - always a good sign when they are happy to listen. The review has not been altered.

Sea view room which are actually street view rooms could be quite loud in the night

Very friendly and professional staff, spacious and clean, tidy rooms. A stone throw away from the beach in front of it and from the park behind it. The view from the rooftop terrace is to die for! Especially at sunset! The breakfast top quality and plenty of delicacies to choose from. They also have an in-house restaurant with delicious food and a great wine selection.

The beds could be more comfortabel but you can ask for another type of pillow what‘s an incredible service.

The room was clean, enough space and the bath room was renovated. The room was like in the description and it was nice. Breakfast was more than enough choice. Quality good, Cappuccino was very good for a hotel. Even our dog could enter the dining room(separate space) The roof top bar, where you can even eat every dish from the restaurant was amazing. Beautiful view over the sea. Friendly staff in the Hotel, especially with our dog.

The sea view and balcony were delightful. The internal art deco was beautiful. Water was thoughtfully provided in the lobby. The roof balcony was charming. Staff were all helpful and friendly.
