Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A perfectly situated house with beautiful sea views, very close to public beaches, restaurants and Poseidon baths (which you can reach on foot in 5 mins). The host couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit the Island.

The place was well equipped and roomy, we had a great little kitchen, a patio area with herbs that we could use for cooking. The location was ideal, close to some good restaurants, the Poseidon Hot Pools, and a great beach. The host Maurizio was really incredible. He really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The island has a great bus system and lots of taxis, there is beautiful scenery to enjoy, good shopping, and fabulous food. We would highly recommend this place to young and old alike.

Maurizio was the best host we’ve ever met and he made our stay better than we expected it to be. He was helpful, he introcuced us to atrractions and good restaurants in the area. The apartement was exactly as described and if we needed anything, Maurizio was always available. Restaurants and a very good beach were only 200 meters away.

We spent one week in Grecale studio at Lucia maison. When we arrived we got a warm welcome from Maurizio with fruits, prosecco and local biscuits. During the entire stay, Maurizio was at anytime reachable to answer all our questions and even helped us for reservation in a nice restaurant. He made us feel comfortable. The studio itself is well located, with a nice terrace to spend the warm and long summer evenings. It is very clean and has everything you need for nice holidays. The beach is only a few minutes from the studio away, as well as the bus stop. The port of Forio is also reachable by feet in only 20 minutes with a nice walk along the coast. Highly recommended! And thank you Maurizio!

SwedenMe and my friends had a very pleasant stay at Lucia Maison. The host Maurizio was very kind, hospitable and gave us a lot of good suggestions on things to do in the area. The apartment was very nice and was perfect for 4 people. The terrace had an amazing view over the ocean. The location was very good, close to the beach (a few minutes) food store, restaurants and buss station. The citara beach was very nice and there were also other beaches in the close area. Forio was just a 20 min walk away. We had a really nice stay and can recommend it!

United KingdomMaurizio, the owner, was really helpful and friendly. The apartment has a lovely outdoor space with two sitting areas, one was a terrace from where you could see the sea.  We chose the house because it’s a 10 minute walk from Poseidon garden which was absolutely brilliant.  we walked into Forio for a meal one night which took around 35 minutes. There is a supermarket about five minutes away and lots of other bars and restaurants which are very close by. They were lovely too.
